MEET our FOUNDER

Roger Dante Giron, at 16, founded the MAD Barracudas Family Swim Team — a growing swimming community dedicated to developing young athletes through discipline, passion, unity, and excellence in the sport of swimming.
From a young age, Roger Dante Giron demonstrated exceptional dedication to swimming. His journey as an athlete brought him to numerous local and international competitions, where he proudly represented Filipino talent in the swimming community. He competed in events held in countries such as Bangkok (2014) , Hongkong (2015) , Australia, and Singapore (2016) , all through PHILIPPINE SWIMMING LEAGUE under Coach SUSAN PAPA, earning recognition for his commitment and competitive spirit. He also represented De La Salle University -Dasmarinas at The WORLD UNIVERSITY GAMES (UNIVERSIADE) in Taiwan in 2017( Senior High) and in Naples,Italy in 2019 (College).

During his student-athlete years, he was recognized as Athlete of the Year at Oxford Louise Academy of Dasmariñas for consecutive academic years, and awarded most bemedalled athlete of De La Salle University -Dasmarinas in Senior High School, highlighting both his athletic excellence and perseverance.

Beyond medals and achievements, Roger Dante Giron’s true contribution lies in his vision of building a family-centered swim team where athletes are not only trained to win competitions, but also molded into disciplined, confident, respectful, and resilient individuals. This vision became the foundation of the MAD Barracudas Family Swim Team.

Today, MAD Barracudas continues to inspire young swimmers to pursue excellence while embracing teamwork, sportsmanship, and strong family values. The team has become more than just a swimming club — it is a supportive community where athletes, parents, and coaches work together toward a common goal of personal growth and athletic development.

Another race day in the books, and our Mad Barracudas showed up with heart, determination, and the courage to compete. Every race was a chance to grow, and every finish was a victory worth celebrating.
