- 1st Homegrown University Professor and 3rd Software Engineer from DEFTAC to achieve Black belt last December 2025.

He is one of the first MMA fighters out of Davao; a former URCC Davao MMA Champion and now the founder of the Catangnan Beach Dojo in Siargao (Deftac Siargao). Congratulations Prof. Fidel! 🎉

Hardworking, relentless, and a decorated champion, Coach Jam officially became DEFTAC’s 5th female black belt last December 2025! On top of being a force on the mats, she leads our corporate movement as the head of DEFTAC ING.

- 1st Homegrown Filipino Chef & Restaurateur
to become a Jiu-jitsu Black Belt. 👨‍🍳

His talents and skills go far beyond the kitchen: He’s a 6 month Jiu-jitsu champion - he won his first Gold under 6 months of training; he’s also a multiple time Jiu-jitsu Champion conquering both his weight class and the absolute divisions winning quadruple Golds and becoming part of Deftac’s Circle of Excellence. He’s also an Iron Man finisher and since December of last year - he’s a black belt! Keep cooking up success on and off the mat! - Congratulations Chef Rey! 🎉

Six months ago we donned our new line of DEFTAC brown belts - each and every one have proven their worthiness and tested their mettle in the last decade. The last brown belt promotion of that day (the traditional goat promotion) was for none other than coach Gabo Ceriola from DEFTAC: Victoria Sports - Quezon City. He has been training and winning with us since he was 6 years old and now he joins our strong line of brown belts. Today we celebrate the growth of our team, family and continue to carry on our legacy. Congratulations everyone! 🔥
