Student Leadership Training Camp 2026 was a fun, memorable, and enriching experience that taught us valuable lessons about leadership, responsibility, and personal growth. One of our biggest takeaways from the camp is that being a student leader means embracing accountability and remaining committed to our responsibilities regardless of the challenges we may encounter. As representatives of our respective organizations, we are expected to uphold our vision and mission, lead by example, and take ownership of our actions and decisions.

Beyond developing our leadership skills, SLTC 2026 encouraged both of us to step out of our comfort zones, which turned out to be one of the most rewarding decisions we made. The experience strengthened our confidence, enhanced our creativity, and sharpened our critical thinking skills qualities that we can apply not only in our organizations but also in our academic and personal lives. More importantly, the camp taught us that every challenge, sacrifice, and risk we take as leaders can become an opportunity for growth and self-improvement.

This experience deepened our understanding of what it truly means to lead and inspired us to serve with greater passion, continue learning, and embrace every opportunity to become better versions of ourselves for the benefit of our organizations and the communities we serve.

Meet Denzel B. Kamatoy, a 2nd Year BS AMT student who continues to soar both in academics and the world of music! 🎤✈️
From being the Grand Champion of PATTS Idol Season 12 (Singing Category) to the Grand Winner of AMT Got Talent, Denzel proves that passion and dedication truly create excellence. Beyond the stage, he has also taken on leadership roles as Project Coordinator (2023–2024) and Creatives Director (2024–2025) of PATTS Vocal Harmony, inspiring others through performance and service.

Despite facing self-doubt and the challenge of balancing academics, competitions, and leadership responsibilities, he remained consistent and trusted his abilities. Through perseverance and passion, he transformed pressure into growth—developing confidence, discipline, and strong communication skills along the way.

For him “Stay consistent and don’t be afraid to put yourself out there. Believe in yourself and enjoy the process.”

Denzel continues to chase his dreams—aiming to become a successful aviation professional while keeping his love for music alive. 🎶💙
