There was a time when my dream was just a simple one — to create, to paint, to draw, and someday build something with my own hands.

Growing up as the youngest of three siblings, I always knew I was different. My brother Jason and my sister Cheche were both academically gifted and have built lives they can be proud of. I admire them both deeply, but somewhere along the way, I realized that my path would be different.

Since I was a kid, I knew that art was where my heart was. During elementary school, I joined poster-making and art competitions. I was fortunate enough to compete at the interschool level and win, and I was even honored by our town mayor with awards for being a young creative artist and poster-making winner in Muntinlupa City.

Those moments may have seemed small back then, but they meant something to me. They were little signs that maybe this passion I carried inside me was worth pursuing.

Today, that same passion has led me to where I am now — building surfboards.

It may not be the most conventional path, and I may not always be the best at what I do. But I have learned that pursuing your passion isn’t always about being the best. It’s about becoming the best version of yourself, continuing to learn, creating with your heart, and having the courage to follow the thing that makes you feel alive.

To everyone who believed in me, supported me, encouraged me, trusted my work, and gave me a chance — thank you. You are a big part of this journey.

Every board I build carries a little piece of that childhood dream. And every day, I continue to push myself to become better, not just for myself, but for all the people who believe that I can do this.

I may have chosen a different path from my brother and sister, but I’ve learned that different doesn’t mean less. It simply means your story is your own.

To the young kid who loved to draw and dream — we’re still chasing that dream.

And I’m grateful that we never stopped. ❤️🏄‍♂️🎨

Looking at this throwback reminds me of the days when our time revolved around the ocean and the people we loved. It was a time when the lines between friends and family completely blurred until we were all just one big group of siblings. There was no pretense, no drama, just a bunch of good humans sharing waves, meals, and endless laughs. We took for granted how easily we all came together back then. I really miss that feeling of absolute belonging and the comfort of having everyone right there beside me. Thank you to everyone in this photo for giving me memories that I will carry with me for the rest of my life ⚡️
