🚨 EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS AND FIRST AID TRAINING 🚨

On July 6, 2026, the Southernside Dance Theatre participated in the Emergency Preparedness and First Aid Training conducted by the Department of Disaster Resilience and Management (DRRM) at the Multipurpose Hall.

The training equipped our dancers with essential first aid knowledge and emergency response skills, empowering them to stay prepared and respond responsibly in times of emergency.

Southernside Dance Theatre proudly looks back on an inspiring experience at the 1st Association of Ballet Academies, Philippines (ABAP) Emerging Choreographers Competition (AECC), held on June 21, 2026, at the Maybank Performing Arts Theater.

We are proud to have showcased three original contemporary dance choreographies by Southernside Dance Theatre alumnus and now coach, Teacher Carl Daniel C. Doromal. His works—"Orasyon," "Sama-Bajau," and "La-Corolle"—were each recognized with 2nd Place awards in their respective categories.

These achievements reflect the dedication of our dancers, the creativity of our choreographer, and the unwavering support of our teachers, parents, and the Southernside Montessori School and Colleges community.

Congratulations to Teacher Carl, our dancers, and everyone who helped bring these works to life. May we continue creating meaningful stories through dance and inspiring others with every performance.

Southernside Dance Theatre proudly looks back on an unforgettable experience at the 5th Association of Ballet Academies, Philippines (ABAP) International Dance Competition, held on June 19–20, 2026, at the Maybank Performing Arts Theater.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all our dancers for their dedication, hard work, and outstanding performances on stage. Every achievement reflects the countless hours of training, perseverance, and passion shared by the entire SDT family.

Our sincere gratitude goes to Teacher Carl Daniel C. Doromal for his unwavering dedication in coaching our dancers and creating award-winning choreographies. We also thank Teacher Almira Licudine and Teacher Alyssa Sibulo for their guidance, patience, and commitment in helping our dancers prepare for the competition.

As part of their preparation for the Association of Ballet Academies, Philippines (ABAP)'s 5th ABAP International Dance Competition (AIDC) and the 1st ABAP Emerging Choreographers Competition (AECC), Southernside Dance Theatre competitors participated in the official AIDC Masterclasses before taking the stage.

Our Classical Ballet competitors, Natalia E. Dissanayake and Althea Cassidy D. Booc, trained under internationally acclaimed ballet master Mr. Elmer Domdom, while our Contemporary Dance competitors—Natalia E. Dissanayake, Francesca Marie A. Calupitan, Eidda Belle B. Lorena, Charity Faith S. Tolentino, Euniz Isabelle B. Laborte, Martina Cassandra F. Olarte, Ma. Aingeil Carlwynne M. Prieto, and Mabiel Angela A. Casador—learned from award-winning choreographer Mr. Raul "Buboy" Raquitico Jr.
