Manila Boat Club

It is with great sadness that we learn of the passing of Benjie Ramos. Benjie was such a vital member of the Manila Boat Club and continued as a guiding light even when he no longer rowed. He will be sorely missed indeed, but never forgotten.

Some interesting newspaper cuttings kept by the late Past Boat Captain Eric McGaw and forwarded by his son Tucker.

Club members Didi Dolan, Victor Platon, Kris Ablan, Lynne Frayna, Jose Evangelista, and Clarice Evangelista rowed on 2 quads today to visit the Napindan Parola Lighthouse in Laguna de Bay, 14.5 kms away from the Manila Boat Club in Sta. Ana. They were joined by Coach Benjie Tolentinto and Athens Tolentino. The round trip journey took 3:30 hours. The members enjoyed this annual activity of the club.

The 15th Annual Kids Xmas Party jointly hosted by MBC and 126th Aux Squadron, Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary takes place this coming Saturday. Games, food, candy prizes and a present from Santa for 125 deserving children and their parent/guardian, local to MBC. Officers and Members will be in attendance to make sure everyone has fun.
