With that Bahay Aruga reminds us that healing is never a journey taken alone. Established on January 30, 2014, this free halfway house provides shelter, food, medicines, transportation assistance, and psychosocial support to pediatric cancer patients and their families who travel from different parts of the Philippines for treatment at PGH. More than a shelter, it is a home built on compassion, resilience, and hope 💙

As Biological Engineering students, visits like these remind us why we chose science in the first place—not only to understand life, but to protect and improve it 🧬

Through Bahay Aruga, children battling cancer are given more than a place to stay—they are given hope, strength, and the opportunity to keep writing their stories of courage, healing, and triumph. The greatest cure we witnessed today was hope 🦋✨

BioLOGIC had the privilege of hearing from Ms. Aubrey Diones, a cancer survivor, as she shared her powerful journey of overcoming cancer—one marked by pain, resilience, and unwavering faith. Her story stood as a quiet but powerful reminder that survival is not just about enduring illness, but about continuing to choose hope, even in the darkest moments. She left both organization members and current cancer patients inspired to keep fighting, keep believing, and keep moving forward despite life’s challenges.

Remember, forward is still forward, no matter how small the step is 🌟
