Every achievement begins with a single step, and for our alumna, that journey started at Mapúa University ❤️💛

This week's Alumni Spotlight features Dr. Jillian Gamboa, PhD, a fellow Mapúan whose passion for learning has taken her across continents. After completing her degrees in Biological Engineering and Chemistry at Mapúa, she pursued advanced studies in Germany and Spain, earning her MS in Biomedical Engineering from RWTH Aachen University and a PhD in Polymers and Biopolymers from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC).

Today, as Marketing Director of IUL SA in Spain, Dr. Jillian reminds us that the possibilities for Biological Engineers extend far beyond the laboratory. Through continuous learning and a passion for excellence, she has built a career that inspires future BioEngineers to think bigger and reach further 🔭💭

Congratulations, Dr. Jillian! Your BE family is proud to celebrate your achievements and the impact you continue to make 🤍

Over the past few days, 𝐴𝑙𝑐ℎ𝑖𝑚𝑖𝑎 𝐵𝑖𝑜𝑙𝑜𝑔𝑖𝑐𝑎 has been packed with energy, color, and curiosity. BioLOGIC welcomed freshmen with puzzles to solve, potions to try, and a fun little reward. 🧪✨

The rain may have tried to slow things down, but it simply cannot stop the fun with BioLOGIC! Thank you to everyone who stopped by to explore our booth, played our games, and took home their squishies with wonderful memories. 🩵🤍

On August 4, 2026, Engr. Heherson Cabrera and BioLOGIC President Dominicq Peña delivered their welcoming remarks to the incoming freshmen during the CBMES Orientation for AY2026-2027 at the Intramuros Seminar Room.

The orientation introduced the newest batch of students to the Biological Engineering curriculum and key faculty members. Both speakers inspired the new batch to carry on the legacy of excellence as they trudge through Mapúa University-- the pioneer of Biological Engineering in the Philippines. 🤩🔬

As the official student organization of the program, the Association of Biological Engineers of Mapúa (BioLOGIC) is proud to be recognized as the 5th Top Organization in the university. BioLOGIC strives to continue enriching the student experience beyond the classroom through various academic and leadership opportunities, and community outreach initiatives. 🤍🩵
