Congratulations to the eight members of the UE Judo Varsity Team, who all bagged a medal in their respective weight categories at the 2nd Friendship Judo Games hosted by the initiative of Vice Mayor Gian Sotto and the Sports Director Jun Gayoso in collaboration with our main sponsor Deftac Victoria Sports and Coach Alvin Lee. The event was held at the Deftac Victoria Sports Tower last July 18, 2026.

BRONZE FINISH! Jennelyn Tunacao secures a podium spot for the Philippines at the 2026 Asia and Oceania Sambo Championships Youth Division after a dominant 2–0 victory against Zhansaya Akhmetova of Kazakhstan in the Girls Youth -72kg category.

Let us continue to support and cheer for our sambo athletes as they compete in the juniors’ sport and combat divisions today, carrying the pride of the nation.

✅ Judo background preferred
