🏐 SDEAS All-Star Games: Volleyball Games

πŸ“’ ANNOUNCEMENT

Good morning, everyoneβ€”friends, alumni, players, and everyone involved.

I’m very sorry, everyone. After careful consideration, I have decided to cancel today’s volleyball games because I’m concerned about everyone’s safety and the difficulty of commuting, especially for players who live far away in Cavite, Batangas, and Antipolo. Some areas are also experiencing flooding, and public transportation is limited.

Your safety is our priority. Please stay home, stay safe, and keep yourselves and your families safe. πŸ™

I will update everyone as soon as a new schedule is available. We are hoping to reschedule the games for Saturday.

Thank you very much for your understanding, patience, and cooperation. Please take care and stay safe, everyone. πŸ™

Thank you to all participants for joining the 3rd DBST Games in volleyball, basketball, badminton, and pickleball. The games have now ended.

Congratulations to all winners in the pickleball games. I am happy that everyone learned and enjoyed the sport. A 45-minute introduction was given last Wednesday, which was originally scheduled for the start of the pickleball games. I decided to move it to June 8 for a short lesson on pickleball rules so participants could learn the basics before the games.

In the pickleball semifinals, Patrick and Mary Rose played well and tried to score points, but Francis and Shaq controlled the game with good shots and teamwork, like table tennis-style play. Francis and Shaq won 15–8.

In the other match, Francis and Shaq advanced to the finals against William and Romulo and won 15–11. Some players still made service errors by hitting the ball before it bounced after the serve. They are still learning the rules, but they still played well and finished with a good game.

William and Romulo earlier won against Marvin and Karlo, but similar service errors were also seen in that match. Still, it was a good and enjoyable game.

Overall, it was a fun and enjoyable game for everyone.

Thank you for joining the 3rd DBST Games. We hope to see you again in the 4th DBST Games.

Congratulations to all medalists:

πŸ₯‡ Gold Medal: Shaquille De Guzman and Francis Ethelbert Pagaduan (CPD)
πŸ₯ˆ Silver Medal: Karlo Bustamante and Marvin Pagtalunan (Alumni)
πŸ₯‰ Bronze Medal: William Sidayon and Romulo Porral III (CSB Associates), Patrick Silver Padao (BDS Teacher), and Mary Rose Piacos (CEAD Staff)
