Capping off a brilliant streak on the ice, short track speed skater Xsandrie Guimba paid a courtesy visit to the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) today following her stellar performance at the 2026 Asian Open Short Track Speed Skating Trophy in Dehradun, India.

PSC Commissioner Olivia Coo warmly welcomed Guimba who was with Philippine Skating Union President Ms. Nikki Cheng, celebrating her silver-medal finish in the Women's 1000-meter event with an impressive time of 1:52.003. This victory builds on her momentum from last December, where she helped secure a bronze medal in the Women's Open Relay 3000m at the 2025 Southeast Asian Games.

For the first time at the Asian Open Short Track Speed Skating Trophy, the Philippine Short Track Speed Skating Team delivered a breakthrough performance, bringing home a historic medal haul and proudly raising the Philippine flag on the international stage.
