Flashback Friday | 2012
A little Flashback Friday to 2012, when we first started performing at Barcino, with our teacher and mentor Emma Estrada dancing alongside us — someone we all looked up to then, and still do today.
Most of us started flamenco simply to learn a dance. Along the way, we found our own expression, authenticity, and joy.
Today, Emma continues to create, and we continue to dance. We’ve grown, changed and evolved along the way — as dancers and as women.
Flamenco is a journey through life. It challenges us to discover our own voice, develop our craft, and keep moving forward.
And this September, that journey takes the stage with MUJERES Empoderadas — a celebration of women, flamenco, strength and individuality.
