Team Philippines is back on the global athletics stage as four Filipino track and field athletes Naomi Marjorie Cesar, Jeralyn Rodriguez, Ivan Cabanda and Bhianca Espenilla have qualified for the 2026 World Athletics U20 Championships in Eugene, Oregon, USA. Also huge milestone for Naomi Marjorie Cesar and Pi Durden Wangkay for qualifying to the 2026 Youth Olympic Games in Dakar, Senegal.

Their qualification in Athletics marks the country's return to the prestigious competition for the first time since 2018 for IAAF U20 Athletics Championships and first time for the Youth Olympic Games since 2014. It also reflects the growing strength of Philippine athletics at the youth level.

These achievements provide hope for the future of Philippine athletics. As Team Philippines looks ahead to the 2026 Asian Games and future Olympic campaigns, these rising stars could play an important role in the country's success.
