Converge hopes to sign Cam Clark as Thibodeaux fails physical exam

CONVERGE FiberXers have shifted their attention to veteran import Cameron Clark after their plan to sign Travin Thibodeaux as Jamal Franklin’s replacement hit a snag.

Thibodeaux failed to pass his physical examination, forcing the FiberXers to look for another reinforcement as they try to arrest their slide in the PBA Season 50 Governors’ Cup.

Converge head coach Delta Pineda said the team is now waiting for Clark to sign his contract before making the move official.

“Clark waiting to sign now,” Pineda said in a Viber message to Abante Bilyonaryo Group’s Homer Sayson.

Clark is no stranger to the PBA, having previously played for the NLEX Road Warriors, San Miguel Beermen and guest team Hong Kong Eastern.

The veteran reinforcement is expected to provide Converge with experience as the FiberXers look to bounce back after losing four straight games following a 3-0 start to the conference. (By the Staff)

Beterano na din sa PBA sa Clark dahil ilang beses na syang naglaro dito kaya good choice din naman kung mapapirma sya.

CAMERON CLARK :

Base sa SPIN report, sinabi nila na "uncertain" pa ang status ni Cameron Clark sa Converge FiberXers.

Katatapos lang ng Silver Shield Basketball Championship 2026, isang preseason tournament na sinalihan ng Hong Kong Eastern, ang team ni Clark ngayon.

Susunod naman para Hong Kong Eastern ang regular season na A1 Division League.

Sa post ng Hong Kong Eastern nitong July ay signed para sa preseason tournament si Clark pero malamang ay ididirecho na ang kontrata nya sa regular season. Kung kukunin sya ng Converge, maaaring ito ang dahilan kung bakit hindi na natuloy.

Again, sinabi ng SPIN na "uncertain" ang status ni Cameron Clark sa atin.

TRAVIN THIBODEUX :

Tiebreaker Times naman ang naglabas ng report na magiging bagong import natin si Travin Thibodeux.

Ayon sa kanila, nakatakdang sukatan ng official height measurement si Thibodeux ngayong sabado.

Kagagaling lang ni Thibodeux sa 2026 Indonesian Basketball League (IBL) kung saan naging champion ang team nya na Bogor Hornbills. Bukod dito, sya din ang nakakuha ng din Season MVP at Finals MVP awards.

Free agent si Thibodeux ngayon kaya available sya para kuning bagong import ng Converge.

Ang Converge FiberXers wala pang official announcement tungkol sa pagpapalit ng import.

Converge set to replace Jamaal Franklin with Travin Thibodeaux

It seems Converge is making another import switch.

The FiberXers are bringing in American import Travin Thibodeaux as a possible replacement for Jamaal Franklin.

Franklin, in his second stint with Converge, is averaging 27.33 points and 8.0 rebounds per game, but the FiberXers have lost all three of their games with him as their import.

The FiberXers are currently in the midst of a four-game losing streak that dropped them to 3-4, tied for fourth with the Terrafirma Dyip in Group A of the 2026 PBA Governors’ Cup.

Now, they will try to regain their footing with Thibodeaux.

Thibodeaux, a product of Division I school University of New Orleans, went undrafted in the 2018 NBA Draft but played for G League squad Fort Wayne in his first two years after college.

He would then ply his trade overseas, playing in Ukraine, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Bahrain, and Lebanon.

Thibodeaux last played for Borneo in the IBL, averaging 25.19 points, 9.34 rebounds, and 4.94 assists per game.

He won the Bahrain Basketball League titles with Al Manama in 2023 and 2024 before leading Borneo to the IBL title last year — taking the Finals MVP honor.

Though listed by FIBA at 6-foot-7, he was measured at 6-foot-5 by the IBL.

He will undergo his official height measurement on Saturday.

If he passes, Thibodeaux will be Converge’s third import this conference after Jalen Hudson and Franklin.

Converge’s next game will be on Tuesday against Terrafirma at Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

Sila ang unang lumaban, at naging pundasyon ng Converge sa mga unang taon nito.

Pero hindi maiiwasan na kabahan ang mga fans dahil ilang buwan na lang ay matatapos na ang kontrata nila at may mga lumalabas pang trade rumors sa kanila.

Sana ay gawin ng buong organisasyon ang lahat para mapanatili sila sa team.

Deserved nilang manatili sa Converge dahil malaki na ang naibigay nila sa franchise at malaki pa rin ang maiaambag nila sa mga susunod na taon.

Sana ay magpatuloy ang Converge sa pagbuo ng core ng team at mapanatili ang mga manlalarong matagal nang naging bahagi ng pundasyon ng franchise katulad ni Alec at Justin.
