CHESS CEREMONIAL MOVE βœ¨β™ŸοΈ

One of the highlights of the Closing and Awarding Ceremony of the 2nd Summer Chess Clinic Tournament 2026 was the special Chess Ceremonial Move participated in by our distinguished guests and two of the youngest players of the club.

The Chess Ceremonial Move is a symbolic tradition commonly done before the start of important chess tournaments and special chess events. It represents honor, sportsmanship, unity, and support for the game of chess and its players. Through this gesture, guests and officials formally recognize the significance of the tournament and inspire participants to play with discipline, respect, and excellence.

This tradition has long been practiced in international and local chess competitions, where respected guests, officials, or sponsors make the first move on the chessboard as a symbol of encouragement and goodwill to all players.

The ceremonial move was proudly made by our Guest of Honor, BGEN GIEMEL O ESPINO PAF, together with LTC DENZIL M LANGWAS PAF, Board of Trustee, alongside their contenders β€” two of the youngest players of the Air Force City Clark Chess Club Inc. Their participation symbolized the passing of knowledge, inspiration, and love for chess to the younger generation. β™ŸοΈπŸ‘

Their presence and support made the ceremony even more memorable and meaningful, inspiring our participants to continue developing their skills, confidence, discipline, and passion for the game of chess.

Thank you to everyone who became part of this successful and inspiring event!
