𝐔.𝐏. 𝐕𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝, 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 - 𝐋𝐨𝐬 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐕𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

In its fourth year, the 𝘎𝘢𝘣𝘪 𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘭 𝘢𝘵 𝘗𝘢𝘴𝘢𝘴𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘵 Thanksgiving Dinner was again hosted by the U.P. Vanguard, Inc. Los Baños Chapter at G! Events Hall, LB Centtro Mall, Los Baños on July 3, 2026. The dinner was held in honor of the parents and families of Graduating Vanguards in 2026 for their unwavering support and essential role in the graduating Brods’ academic accomplishments. The event brought together members of the Board of Governors, Chapter Officers, UP Vanguard Inc. members, UPLB Cadet Officers, Sponsors, and most especially, the families of the graduates.

Several distinguished guests attended the event, including 202nd Infantry “Unifier” Brigade Commander BGEN ERNEST JOHN JADLOC, National Commander Vgd MGen Peale Jon Bondoc (RET) ’85, Vgd Gov Dr. Donald De Padua ‘90, UPVI-LB Chapter Commander Vgd Bright Munda ‘98, UPVI-LB Chapter Vice Chapter Commander Vgd Richard Amansec, UPLB ROTC Commandant COL ALEXANDER ARBOLADO INF (MNSA) PA, and UPLB ROTC Asst. Commandant Vgd 1LT Edwin Rala ’90.

Recognition was also given to the UPLB ROTC 1CL and 2CL Cadet Officers for successfully completing the ROTC Summer Camp Training (RSCT) and Advanced ROTC Academic Phase Training (ARAPT). An oath-taking ceremony was also administered to induct the new UPVI-LB Chapter Vanguards.

The evening's most heartfelt highlight was the symbolic pinning ceremony, during which parents affixed the U.P. Vanguard Inc. pin to their children's Sablays. The gesture represented that the graduates' accomplishments, both as students and as Vanguards, were not theirs alone but were made possible through the unwavering support and shared sacrifices of their families.

The graduates gave their testimonials, sharing their deep appreciation for their parents, families, friends, and loved ones for their contribution towards achieving their significant milestones. Their parents and families also delivered heartfelt speeches of pride and gratitude. The graduates, as well as their parents, gave thanks to the U.P. Vanguard, Inc. - Los Banos Chapter for the organization's support throughout their stay in the university.

Guest of Honor and Speaker BGEN JADLOC extended his congratulations to the graduates on their remarkable achievements and emphasized the importance of honoring one's parents, whose immense sacrifices served as the foundation of their success and made these milestones possible.

More than a celebration of academic and leadership excellence, the gathering paid tribute to the families whose steadfast encouragement shaped the graduates' journey, as well as to the enduring spirit of the U.P. Vanguard community. The memorable occasion was brought to life through the generosity and sponsorship of the senior Brods.
