𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐬 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠: 𝐔𝐏𝐋𝐁 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

Do you ever look at someone and wonder, “𝚆𝚑𝚊𝚝'𝚜 𝚐𝚘𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚘𝚗 𝚒𝚗𝚜𝚒𝚍𝚎 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚒𝚛 𝚑𝚎𝚊𝚍?”

Every journey begins with a memory. Behind every memory are stories–ones that shape us into who we are and who we can be.

Some stories are filled with moments to cherish, while others are filled with challenges that test our strength and courage. There is 𝐣𝐨𝐲 from unexpected friendships, 𝐬𝐚𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 from lessons that taught us to stay strong, 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 from moments we would rather forget, 𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 from obstacles that pushed us far beyond our limitations, and 𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐫 from taking the first step into something unfamiliar.

There are moments and emotions that we wish to forget, but every emotion becomes part of the story, and every experience becomes part of something greater–a collection of memories that last. Memories built through camaraderie, leadership, service, discipline, and dedication.

The Corps of Sponsors is made of these memories. Now, it’s your turn to add your core memory to the story.

Be one of the chosen few and become part of the Corps memories in the making.

𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗢𝗘𝗦 𝗗𝗔𝗬 🇵🇭

Heroes are remembered not only for the battles they fought, but for the values they stood for and the sacrifices they made for the Filipino people.

On National Heroes Day, as we remember those who came before us, may we also recognize the everyday heroes who continue to serve our communities in their own ways. Their courage, patriotism, and selfless service continue to remind us that love for country is shown not only through great acts, but also through the commitment to serve, protect, and uplift others.

To the heroes of yesterday, today, and tomorrow:
𝗠𝗮𝗯𝘂𝗵𝗮𝘆 𝗸𝗮𝘆𝗼!

'𝗗𝗔 𝗣𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗞𝗣𝗔𝗞! 👏🇵🇭

The Department of Military Science and Tactics (DMST) and the UPLB Corps of Cadets extend their most sincere congratulations to 𝗟𝗧𝗖 𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗢 C 𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗢𝗭𝗔 𝗝𝗥 𝗣𝗔𝗙 for his exemplary achievement in the Philippine Air Force and the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

LTC MENDOZA made history as the first Filipino fighter pilot to qualify as a Force Commander at the recently concluded Exercise Pitch Black 2026 held in Australia. Our ace Filipino fighter pilot led a multinational strike package of approximately 40 fighter aircraft from participating air forces of other nations. The role demanded exceptional flying skills, mission planning, tactical decision-making, coordination, and leadership in one of the world’s most demanding large-force air combat exercises.

LTC MARIO MENDOZA Jr. served as Corps Commander of the Class of 2003 of the UPLB ROTC Unit before joining the Philippine Military Academy and eventually being sent to the US Air Force Academy in Colorado, USA.

Congratulations, VGD MARIO C MENDOZA JR ’03! May you continue to soar higher and lead with the Vanguard sibboleths of Duty well performed, Honor untarnished, and Country above self.

𝗨𝗣 𝗩𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗨𝗔𝗥𝗗: 𝗔 𝗟𝗘𝗚𝗔𝗖𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗜𝗖𝗘 🇵🇭

On 25 July 2026, the University of the Philippines Vanguard Incorporated (UPVI) opened a new chapter in its century-old history as UP President Angelo A. Jimenez inducted its Board of Directors, with Maj. Gen. Peale Jon L Bondoc, AFP (Ret.), assuming the position of National Commander. The change of command was more than a change of leadership. It was a reaffirmation of a tradition built around three words that have defined the character and purpose of the UP Vanguard for generations: Duty. Honor. Country. (Manila Bulletin, 2026)
