Since its re-establishment in 2009, intellectual environmentalism has been the central philosophy of UP ECOSYSTEMSS. We hold deep importance to the intellect of different experts, from local communities to engineers and scientists, to solve the various environmental problems that we are facing.

Today, we are reminded of our core with the International Youth Day. We may have different contexts in reality but we are united by our common aspiration—which is to protect and conserve the planet for future generations.

A butterfly🦋, a bee 🐝, a bird🐦, a beetle🐞, a fly🪰, an ant🐜, and a bat 🦇have come to heed the call of the trees 🌴🌲🌳.

Driven by a passion for intellectual environmentalism, the UP Ecology and Systematics Students Society, welcomes Ariane, Chlowd, Darbs, Dex, Matti, Sam, and Vince, to be part of our growing circle of advocates. Presenting nature's agents of transformation, Batch Pollinators has joined our forces to take action!

Like how a pollen 🟡 is strategically carried from a flower to another🏵️🌼, Batch Pollinators calls for the theoretical soundness, applicability, and transparent unbiased information in the potential adaptation of technologies.

Like how plants 🌱co-evolved 🧬with their own local pollinators, tech must also co-evolve with the people and for the people.

Like how pollination 🐝🌺 is not a disruptive process but a means of give and take, technological advancement must be decided and weighed against the environmental risks and costs that it could take.

At the end of the day, we don't have a choice but to live in the same planet but we have a choice to make living in it worse or better.
