The Aspulan Futsal Invitational, held last May 2, 2026, was a resounding success and a vibrant display of athleticism and community spirit. As a key extension program of the College of Human Kinetics (CHK) in close collaboration with the BSU Football Club (BSUFC), the event served as a bridge between academic excellence and grassroots sports development. This milestone would not have been possible without the collective effort and dedication of the BSU Futsal Varsity and the BSU Alumni, who brought their expertise and passion to the pitch.

We also extend a special commendation to the BSESS 3rd Year Management Students from the class of Ma’am Maria Lourdes Obidos, whose technical support was instrumental, and to the BSU-UPAO for their professional documentation that captured every highlight of the day.

We are also deeply grateful to the diverse group of athletes who traveled from across the region to compete and showcase their skills.

Heartfelt thanks go out to the teams who journeyed all the way from Baguio City, Atok, Pangasinan, and Ilocos Norte. Your participation not only elevated the level of competition but also strengthened the bonds of the Northern Luzon futsal community.

The drought is over and the crown is back where it belongs. In a masterclass of skill, stamina, and pure heart, the Benguet State University Men’s Football Team dominated the field to secure the BBEAL Season 36 Championship Title!

Leaving no room for doubt, the Wildcats delivered a breathtaking 6-0 shutout against the SLU Navigators. From the opening whistle to the final goal, it was a display of relentless teamwork and "Wildcat Pride" that electrified the stands.

After a season of grit and hard work, the trophy returns home to La Trinidad.

The Benguet State University - Secondary Laboratory School Booters displayed remarkable tenacity and sportsmanship during the 1st Kaldingan Festival 7-Aside Football Tournament. Held on May 2-3, 2026, at the Quirino Stadium in Bantay, Ilocos Sur, the team fought through a demanding schedule to reach the final stages of the competition.

Tournament Results:

Elimination Round (2 Wins, 1 Draw, 1 Loss)

• BSU-SLS vs. TFC: 1-0 Victory (Goal by Abraham)
• BSU-SLS vs. EMES: 1-1 Draw (Goal by Abraham)
• BSU-SLS vs. IUFC Blue: 0-1 Loss
• BSU-SLS vs. KICKPOINT: 2-0 Victory (Goals by Samuel and Tino)

Quarterfinals Round Robin (1 Win, 1 Draw):
• BSU-SLS vs. PAOY FC: 1-0
• BSU-SLS vs. IUFC Blue: 0-0

Final Rounds:

• Semifinals: A narrow 0-1 loss against Cauayan FC

• Battle for Third: The Booters faced IUFC B in a tight contest that went to a penalty shootout, where they fell short of the podium. Placing them at 4th place.

LA TRINIDAD — The BSU Wildcats delivered the first major shockwave of BBEAL Season 36, dismantling the defending champion UC Jaguars in a 2-0 shutout that signaled a definitive shift in the football landscape.

The story of the match belonged to Kervin Tacdoy, whose clinical brilliance provided the difference-maker. Tacdoy found the back of the net twice, capitalizing on hard-fought opportunities to secure the brace and propel the Wildcats to their first victory of the season. His offensive masterclass was backed by a backline that refused to bend, leaving the reigning champions searching for answers until the final whistle.

By taking down the titleholders, BSU hasn't just earned an advantage; they’ve sent a clear warning to the rest of the league.

There is little time for the Wildcats to dwell on their historic victory. Under the relentless pace of the round-robin format, the squad must now recalibrate for another heavyweight clash.

Can the Wildcats maintain their clinical form, or will the Navigators find a way to steer them off course? One thing is certain: the momentum is firmly in La Trinidad’s favor.

𝘽𝙎𝙐 𝙍𝙚𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙨 𝙎𝙪𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙇𝙖𝙤𝙖𝙜! 🏆⚽

It was a total takeover at the 3rd Amazonas Football Club Summer Futsal Tournament! Combining the veteran grit of our Alumni with the explosive energy of the BSU Women’s Futsal Varsity, our squad proved that the Benguet State University spirit is a force to be reckoned with— even in the heat of Ilocos Norte.

From start to finish, the team showcased elite chemistry and relentless drive.

We dominated the eliminations, securing the Top 1 seed out of 6 competing teams.

In a clash against the Amazonas Seniors during the semis, we held our ground for a 2-2 draw, eventually clinching the win in a high-pressure 4-3 penalty shootout!

We capped off the tournament with a clinical 4-0 victory in the Finals against Amazonas Juniors to hoist the trophy.
