JOHAIM REPEATS, SULTAN RULES

One young star is building a winning streak. One seasoned journeyman returned ready to rule.

Together, Johaim I. Imam and Sultan AlFahd Mapandi formed a championship partnership that rose above the competition and claimed the Top Category title.

For Johaim, this victory carries the unmistakable sound of back-to-back championships. In the previous mini tournament, he emerged as a champion in the novice category. This time, he moved into the top category, faced stronger competition, and still found his way back to the throne.

That is not merely another win. It is a clear sign of progression.

Johaim is bringing his basketball instincts and athletic skills into pickleball in a grand way. His height, movement, anticipation, quick reactions, and competitive confidence are translating naturally from one court to another. The same instincts that help a basketball player read space, track movement, and react under pressure are now becoming dangerous weapons in his rapidly developing pickleball game.

He is young, athletic, and still learning, and that may be the most exciting part. His journey is only beginning, yet he is already collecting titles and proving that he can rise with the level of competition.

Beside him stood our own dear Sultan AlFahd Mapandi, the well-travelled journeyman and one of the club’s most competitive members.

Sultan had only recently returned from a successful tournament appearance in nearby Banga, but he showed no signs of slowing down. Instead, he carried that competitive momentum back to the Sangreda court and immediately imposed himself on the event.

As sultans are expected to rule, Sultan ruled dominantly.

He delivered a commanding performance built on outstanding stamina, consistent power, and the ability to maintain his intensity throughout a long day of competition. Rally after rally and match after match, he continued to strike with purpose, apply pressure, and stand firm when the games became difficult.

His strength was not simply in producing powerful shots. It was in sustaining that power, remaining composed, and repeatedly bringing the same competitive force whenever his team needed it most.

This podium day also confirmed something Sangreda has steadily witnessed: Sultan is not merely a journeyman who travels from one tournament to another. He is a serious competitor and a top player within our club.

His willingness to test himself elsewhere, return with added experience, and then dominate on the home court reflects the mindset of a player who always wants to improve and compete at a higher level. This championship gives him another well-deserved result and strengthens the respect he has already earned among his fellow members.

Together, Johaim and Sultan offered a formidable combination: youthful athleticism and experienced tournament toughness, developing talent and proven stamina, basketball instincts and relentless pickleball power.

Johaim continued his winning ascent. Sultan returned from another tournament and delivered a dominant showing. By the end of the event, they had established themselves as the deserving champions of the highest category.

MONIC & MAMOT: MOMENTUM MEETS POWER

Three days. Three podium finishes.

Silver. Gold. Gold.

For Aizah “Monic” S. Montañer, winning is quickly becoming a habit.

If we include her recent performance at the Daily Dose @ 5 Tournament, Monic has now completed an impressive three-day silver-gold-gold onslaught... a remarkable run that reflects her growing confidence, stamina, and consistency under tournament pressure.

She is no stranger to the podium anymore.

But this championship had another important part to its story. This time, Monic was complemented by a powerful and dependable partner in Al-Shaifa “Mamot” Marohom.

Mamot brought a different kind of force to the partnership.

As a badminton player, she carried into pickleball the instincts, timing, and explosive arm action needed to produce a dangerous power smash. When the opportunity came, Mamot could attack with authority and finish points decisively.

Yet her game was not built on power alone.

She also proved to be exceptionally reliable on defense. She remained composed during difficult rallies, returned challenging shots, and helped keep points alive when their opponents tried to seize control. Her ability to absorb pressure and respond with steady defensive play gave the pair the stability they needed throughout the tournament.

That combination made her an ideal partner for Monic.

Monic brought the momentum, tournament confidence, and competitive fire developed through her recent winning run. Mamot supplied the power at the right moments and the defensive strength needed to protect their position.

One pressed the attack.
The other refused to let points die.

Together, they found the balance that championship doubles teams need.

Their victory was not the work of one player carrying another. It was the result of two strengths complementing each other: Monic’s winning form and Mamot’s blend of smashing power, defensive discipline, and steady presence.

For Monic, this title completed another gold-medal finish in an extraordinary three-day stretch.

For Mamot, it was a championship performance that displayed the full value of her badminton background and her growing command of the pickleball court.

ENGINEERING A CHAMPIONSHIP RUN

They may be new to pickleball, but Engr. Jun Sarip and Engr. Hanin Hadji Naif proved that discipline, preparation, and teamwork can overcome even younger and faster challengers.

The two DPWH engineers emerged as champions in their category after demonstrating that every early-morning trip to the court was an investment in success.

While many were still beginning their day, Jun and Hanin were already hard at work. They arrived early, practiced consistently, learned the game patiently, and strengthened their partnership one session at a time. Those quiet mornings became the blueprint for a championship run.

They may not yet have the years of experience of longtime players, but they brought something equally valuable to the court: a disciplined and methodical approach to competition.

They stayed calm when rallies became challenging. They resisted the urge to rush when opponents increased the pace. Instead, they trusted their preparation, remained composed, and played with the focus and discipline expected from professionals who understand that success is built through consistent effort.

Their younger opponents may have had greater speed, but Jun and Hanin countered with smart positioning, patience, sound decision-making, and control.

They showed that pickleball is not won by quickness alone. It is also won by knowing when to attack, when to defend, when to slow the game down, and when to trust your partner.

That mindset became their competitive edge.

As engineers, they are accustomed to planning carefully, analyzing challenges, and developing practical solutions. On the pickleball court, those same qualities were evident in the way they read rallies, adapted to opponents, and constructed points until the right opportunity appeared.

In the end, the early mornings paid off.

The preparation paid off.

And their disciplined approach carried them past younger, faster challengers and all the way to the championship.

What a tournament run for Aizah “Monic” S. Montañer!

Before making Sangreda history as part of the club’s first all-Sangreda ladies’ pair to win a championship in an external tournament, Monic had already stepped onto the podium one day earlier.

Competing in the Mixed category with her partner, Mico Lopez, Monic captured the Silver Medal—a strong result that already showed her consistency, composure, and ability to work effectively with a different partner.

Then, just one day later, she returned to the court and went all the way to the top.

Two days. Two different partners. Two podium finishes.

From silver in mixed doubles to gold in the ladies’ category, Monic demonstrated remarkable adaptability. She adjusted to different playing styles, built chemistry with each partner, and remained steady through the pressure of back-to-back competition. Her performance was not defined by one great match, but by sustained focus, discipline, and competitive heart across the entire tournament.

Her Silver Medal with Mico Lopez deserves its own proud place in this memorable run. Together, they battled through the mixed field and came within one step of the championship, earning a podium finish that reflected their teamwork and determination.

For Sangreda, Monic’s two-day performance is a source of tremendous pride. It shows what hard work, consistency, and a willingness to compete can produce. Whatever category she entered and whoever stood beside her, she brought the same commitment, composure, and fighting spirit to the court.

SULTAN SHINES AT THE INAUGURAL MCSI PICKLE GROUNDS TOURNAMENT! 🏓🔥

Another proud performance beyond our home court!

Sangreda Pickleball Club proudly congratulates Sultan AlFahd Mapandi for securing 2nd Runner-Up in the Mixed Novice category of the 1st MCSI Pickle Grounds Pickleball Tournament, together with his partner, Angie Diploma.

The tournament was held at Mindanao Community School, Barangay Rizal, Banga, South Cotabato, bringing together players ready to compete, learn, and test their skills on a new tournament stage.

Sultan is one of Sangreda’s true pickleball journeymen... a player whose love for the game has taken him to different courts and connected him with clubs and playing communities as far as the National Capital Region. Wherever he plays and whichever court welcomes him, he continues to carry with him the discipline, camaraderie, and fighting spirit that we proudly recognize as part of the Sangreda family.

His podium finish with Angie Diploma reflects adaptability, teamwork, and the ability to build chemistry with a partner while competing under pressure. Reaching the podium in the inaugural edition of the tournament makes the achievement even more memorable, as Sultan becomes part of the event’s very first group of recognized winners.

History has been made for Sangreda Pickleball Club!

Our very own Aizah S. Montañer and Shaira Nicole M. Marohombsar-Montaner emerged as Champions of the Daily Dose @ 5: Serve & Share Cup, held on June 12–13, 2026, at the Picklehall, Paraiso Verde Resorts in Koronadal City, South Cotabato.

This victory holds a special place in Sangreda history. Monic and Nicole are the first all-Sangreda ladies’ pair to win a championship in an external tournament while carrying and representing our club.

They worked hard for this moment. Through consistent practice, determination, patience, and trust in one another, they steadily improved their game until they reached the top of the podium and proudly raised the Sangreda banner. Their championship shows that sincere effort, discipline, perseverance, and teamwork can produce victories worth celebrating.

On the court, they played with composure and consistency. They communicated well, supported one another, and competed with the closeness and understanding of family. Their natural coordination could be seen not only in every rally but also, quite fittingly, in their matching outfits and paddles.

More than the trophy and prizes, their victory represents the continued growth of Sangreda and the strength of the women within our club. They showed that the lessons learned, friendships built, and countless games played on our humble home court can prepare our members to compete and succeed beyond Sangreda.

ANWAR MAKES WAVES IN COTABATO

New city. Same fire.

SanGreda’s Anwar Hussein Sarip Mangorsi wasted no time making his presence felt after transferring to Cotabato. In the NDCFBG 2001 Picklers’ Dink-A-Thon Fest, held on May 29–31, 2026 at Almaseer Pickleball Courts, Awang, DOS, Anwar stepped into the court and came out with a Silver Medal finish.

Together with his doubles partner Naiff Meditar, Anwar proved once again that his game travels well. From the Sangreda court to Cotabato competition, the young star continues to grow, compete, and collect winning moments.

This is the same Anwar we watched rise before our eyes: full of energy, fearless in rallies, and always ready to fight for every point. And now, even in a new place, he is still carrying that SanGreda spirit with him.

FAHAD AMEROL IBRAHIM: A Pioneering Champion Beyond the SanGreda Court

The trophy says it proudly: Fahad Amerol Ibrahim is the Men’s Doubles Intermediate Champion of the 1st Upsilon Phi Sigma Pickleball Tournament, organized by the Malabang East Municipal Executive Council, held on May 29–30, 2026.

And for SanGreda, this victory carries a special meaning.

Fahad was already part of our club history as SanGreda’s first champion. Now, he continues to carry that champion’s spirit beyond our home court, proving himself again as a pioneering winner in another new tournament stage, this time in Malabang, together with his doubles partner Aleem Amirkhattab Bogabong.

From our humble court to competitions elsewhere, Fahad continues to show what dedication, discipline, and love for the game can achieve. This win is not just another trophy. It is another chapter in the story of a player who helped open the door for SanGreda’s competitive spirit.

He carried the pride of SanGreda with him, battled through the tournament, and came out on top.

SILVER MEDAL PRIDE FOR SAN GREDA! 🥈💚

San Greda Pickleball Club proudly congratulates Homaydin Maruhom and Zhul Pagadilan for winning the Silver Medal as a pair in the Low Intermediate Men’s Doubles category of the Alagang Angara 1st Karakasa Pickleball Cup, held on May 22–24, 2026 at Paraiso Verde Picklehall.

From Bracket D to the podium, Homaydin and Zhul showed the kind of game that represents San Greda well: steady, focused, respectful, and full of fighting heart. In a bracket filled with strong teams and competitive players, they battled their way through and proved that San Greda players can stand proud in bigger tournament stages.

This silver medal is more than just a finish. It is a statement of growth, teamwork, and club pride. It reminds us that every practice, every rally, every game at our home court, and every moment of learning together can lead to something bigger.
