PODIUM FINISH FOR THE IUFA GIRLS! 🥉

The Iligan Ultimate Frisbee Association Girls ended the tournament on a strong note, securing a podium finish in the PFDA Nationals 2026 Women’s Division!

The IUFA Girls claimed the bronze medal after defeating Davao Women in the battle for bronze, with our very own Hoho Abuda leading the team. On the men’s side, Team ILGN also brought home a silver medal, making it another successful campaign for Iligan Ultimate.

This shows the strength of Iligan not just in the Mixed Division, but also in Single Gender. Time and time again, Iligan Ultimate continues to prove what it is truly about: a training ground for champions.

The whole IUFA family is proud of your achievement. This is another chapter in the journey, and we know there is more to come. Spirits up, because we always come back stronger, better, and wiser.

The IUFA Mixed Team secured the gold medal after defeating SSG in the PFDA Nationals 2026 Championship Match! 🥇

After a slow start, IUFA found their rhythm, took control of the game, and sealed the victory with a 15–12 finish, leaving SSG with a well-deserved silver medal.

This victory is a testament to what Iligan is truly made of: 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬. Today, IUFA proved that they are not only a force in Mindanao but a standard for excellence across the nation.

The 𝐈𝐔𝐅𝐀 𝐆𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐬 fell to defending champions, 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐏𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 (𝐒𝐏) 𝐆𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐬, in a hard-fought semifinal matchup.

It was a close and intense game from start to finish, with both teams battling through fatigue and pressure in an extended contest. Despite their best efforts, IUFA came up short, with the game ending 12-10 in favor of SP Girls.

But the journey is far from over.

The IUFA Girls still have a chance to bring home a medal as they take on 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐨 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧’𝐬 in the battle for bronze later this afternoon.

The 𝐈𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐔𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐛𝐞𝐞 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐈𝐔𝐅𝐀) is headed to the finals after defeating the 𝐍𝐚𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐧 𝐔𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐉𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐚𝐥𝐬 (𝐍𝐔𝐉) in a tough semifinal match.

The game was filled with big hucks, diving layouts, and exciting battles in the air. Both teams gave it their all, but IUFA stayed calm, played as a team, and came out on top.

Now, the focus shifts to the finals this afternoon, where IUFA will face the 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐆𝐮𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐬 (𝐒𝐒𝐆) for the championship.

We finished on top during the PFDA National Qualifiers, an achievement that reflects the team’s hard work, discipline, and determination. This is just a stepping stone as we gear up for the nationals.

A heartfelt thank you to City Government of Iligan, led by Mayor Freddie Siao & Chief of Staff Verne Padilla , for providing transportation support to some of our athletes. Your help made a big difference.

Iligan Ultimate Frisbee Association is officially heading to the PFDA Nationals 2026! After a hard-fought run at the CDO Leg, they’ve secured a spot among the teams that are advancing to the next level.

The grind doesn't stop here. See you at the big stage! 🥏💨

Good day!

Iligan City was greatly affected by Typhoon Basyang. Many players experienced serious damage to their homes due to the strong winds and heavy rainfall which led to the flooding in some areas of the city. Muddy floodwater entered several residences, destroying household belongings and essential items. Sadly, some members of the community totally lost their homes and are now displaced, with no permanent place to stay.

Both houses were located beside Pala-o River, which overflowed during the heavy rains and caused significant destruction to nearby residences. The affected families are currently in urgent need of financial assistance to help them recover, relocate, and meet their basic needs.

The following households sustained major damage:
• Christine and Deniel Saramosing – Half of their house was washed out by the flood. Authorities have declared the area unsafe for habitation, and they are no longer allowed to stay in their residence.
• Arc Jerome and Jerrana Irish Diango – Their entire house was completely washed out by the flood, leaving the family without shelter.

We respectfully request financial assistance for the families who were severely affected by the recent flooding incident near Pala-o River. We are knocking to your hearts for kind consideration and support for the victims of Typhoon Basyang.
