A nuisance includes anything that:

🌙 Nighttime: 45 dBA

🏢 COMMERCIAL AREAS

☀️ Daytime: 65 dBA
🌙 Nighttime: 55 dBA

🏭 LIGHT INDUSTRIAL

☀️ Daytime: 70 dBA
🌙 Nighttime: 60 dBA

🏭 HEAVY INDUSTRIAL

☀️ Daytime: 75 dBA
🌙 Nighttime: 65 dBA

👉 These standards establish the legal baseline for acceptable community noise exposure.

🛑 HOW TO ENFORCE YOUR RIGHTS

1️⃣ BARANGAY ACTION

✔ File a complaint with the Lupong Tagapamayapa
✔ Request mediation
✔ Document recurring disturbances
✔ Seek compliance agreements

2️⃣ ABATEMENT OF NUISANCE

Under Philippine nuisance law:

✔ Demand cessation of excessive noise
✔ Request correction or removal of the noise source

👉 This remedy is known as ABATEMENT.

3️⃣ DAMAGES & INJUNCTIONS

If violations continue:

✔ File a civil action for damages
✔ Seek a court injunction
✔ Request permanent cessation of the nuisance
