In 1975, the science of toxicology was introduced in the country with the establishment of a poison control center at the Philippine General Hospital (PGH). This was in response to the increasing incidence of poisoning brought about by indiscriminate use of pesticides. We proudly recognize Dr. Karol Paula D. Dimanarig from the Department of Emergency Medicine, Ospital ng Makati, as our Best Toxicology Rotator for June 2026.

Her dedication, active participation, eagerness to learn, and commitment to compassionate patient care truly stood out throughout the rotation. May this recognition inspire her to continue pursuing excellence and to carry the principles of clinical toxicology in every patient she serves.

Special acknowledgment to her Toxicology Fellow-in-Charge, Dr. Aisler Ibana, for his guidance, mentorship, and support throughout the rotation.

We also congratulate Dr. Michelle Ann Yu from the Department of Family and Community Medicine, Bicol Regional Hospital and Medical Center, for being recognized as our Top 2 Toxicology Rotator for July 2026. Her hard work, perseverance, and enthusiasm for learning are deeply appreciated.

To all our June 2026 Toxicology Rotators, congratulations on successfully completing the rotation. While not everyone may have received a special distinction, each of you contributed meaningfully through your effort, teamwork, participation, and willingness to learn. The knowledge, discipline, and experiences you gained during this rotation are achievements worth celebrating.
