As part of the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Philippine Fisheries Development Authority (PFDA), the PFDA–Davao Fish Port Complex (PFDA-DFPC) held its Sportsfest, bringing employees together in the spirit of teamwork, camaraderie, and healthy competition. Before the sporting events officially began, the celebration opened with a torch-lighting ceremony. This was followed by the Oath of Sportsmanship, led by Officer-In-Charge, AFSD- Ryan Paul P. Bonsubre, reminding all participants to uphold fairness, respect, discipline, and camaraderie throughout the competition.

The Sportsfest featured a variety of sporting events that showcased the skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship of PFDA-DFPC employees, including Basketball, Volleyball, Pickleball, Darts for Men and Women, and Table Tennis for Men and Women.

As PFDA-Davao Fish Port Complex looks back on 50 years of service and progress, the Sportsfest stands as a reminder that its greatest strength is its people—working together, competing with sportsmanship, and moving forward as one.

The Philippine Fisheries Development Authority – Davao Fish Port Complex (PFDA-DFPC) joined the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Philippine Fisheries Development Authority (PFDA) as one of its regional fish ports in the country. Marking five decades of dedicated service and progress, PFDA-DFPC commemorated this golden milestone through a simple yet meaningful celebration, honoring the institution’s enduring commitment to the Philippine fisheries industry and the communities it serves.

The celebration was blessed with a Holy Mass officiated by Rev. Fr. Henry Campeon, offering gratitude for PFDA’s 50 years of service and seeking continued guidance and blessings for the years ahead.

While simple in celebration, the occasion was filled with gratitude and pride as PFDA-DFPC looks back on the agency’s remarkable journey and looks forward to many more years of service, progress, and commitment.
