It has been a great privilege and a source of pride to coach my team for the upcoming Hybrid Games. The past three months have been an absolute blast applying science and evidence based training throughout our periodization program from the General Physical Preparedness, through the First Transition, and now into Competition Peaking. Every phase has been designed to help my athletes reach their best physical condition, while also learning how to tap into their mentality and reach the ideal performance state when it matters most. What makes this journey even more special is that my athletes come from very different backgrounds, we’ve had limited training time and this is our first time competing in this kind of event. Despite all the challenges, I couldn’t be prouder of how much my team has improved not just physically, but mentally as well. More than the training and preparation, the bond we’ve built throughout this journey is something I’ll always remember.

Proud of this team. We’ve put in the work. Now it’s time to show it.

Let’s finish strong. 💪🏻🧠🔥

Team Fortitude Fitness & Performance by Coach Floyd Lentejas Hybrid (HYROX with a twist) simulation done! 🙌🏻 insert sir Al Ryan Alejandre New super busy pag serbisyo sa katawhan sa Davao karung Kadayawan 🙏🏻

Very proud and satisfied with my team’s performance, especially knowing that this is our first time doing this type of sport. The mentality I always try to instill in my team is simple, never give up, and whatever you do, always give it your best. Regardless of the outcome of the competition, what matters is that you give everything you have and walk away knowing you did your best. It’s about showing up, pushing through the hard moments, and trusting the process. And that process is what makes the journey even more memorable. 🙌🏻🏃🏻‍♂️🔥

Thank you sir Al Ryan Alejandre for supporting the team. We appreciate it big time 🙏🏻

Preparation does not stop just because you’re on vacation. The destination may change, but the commitment stays the same.

Hyrox training continues wherever I am because discipline isn’t based on convenience, it is driven by purpose. Stay consistent, stay focused, and keep working toward the goal 💪🏻

Vince, a 16 year old golf athlete from JAGA (Junior Asian Golf Academy, Thailand), wants to focus on getting stronger and more explosive.

When we train an athlete, one of the biggest mistakes coaches make is introducing sport-specific training too early. This can lead to burnout and increase the risk of injuries caused by early specialization.

The first big step an athlete should take to improve performance is developing Athletic Movement Competency. This simply means mastering the fundamental human movement patterns that directly underpin athletic performance, such as squatting, hinging, lunging, pushing, pulling, rotating, and other basic movement skills.

That’s why training an athlete requires a lot of attention to detail. Continuous learning through exercise science, combined with practical application, is essential to help athletes perform at their highest level while reducing the risk of injury.
