Inviting all Cebu Coaches to the 1st edition of the SBP Zone 8 Coaches Refresher Session on August 21 at the Cebu City Sports Center (Abellana) Ballroom Dance Hall.

The 1st edition will be led by Gilas Pilipinas Youth Women Head Coach Sandy Arespacochaga - who will talk about the evolution of the modern game of basketball and how coaches can adapt to the new trends of the game.

Gilas Pilipinas U18 Men are ready to represent vs Asia’s top young teams. Laban, Pilipinas!

SBP ZONE 8 REPRESENT!

Congratulations to Jacob Lacson for making it into the final 12 of the Gilas Pilipinas U18 squad that will represent the country in the upcoming FIBA Asia U18 Cup.

Jacob graduated from Sacred Heart School - Ateneo de Cebu. Congrats Jacob!

Central Visayas was well represented in the podium of the recently concluded Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas - SBP Pambansang Tatluhan!

The boys team represented by CIT-U won 2nd runner up honors after defeating regional powerhouse Zone 6 in a thrilling overtime match. Mark Ivan Geraldez hit the game-winning 2 pointer to complete the win.

The girls team didn't make it to the playoff round but Aubrey Suazo of the Schwartz Eagles was able to redeem the team by winning the 2 point shootout.

Congrats to both teams and we are very proud of your performances! Padayon mga Bisdak!

SBP Pambansang Tatluhan Updates.

Boys Division
The CITU Baby Wildcats have locked in their place in the quarterfinals safe after winning their 2 elimination games today.

They will play one last pool game tomorrow morning before the playoff round starts.

Girls Divison
Schwartz Eagles valiantly battled it out but fell short to Zone 13, 9-10, in the battle for the last pool playoff spot. Despite the elimination, our Cebuanas showed heart, grit, and the tough Cebuana pride through the whole tourney. WE ARE PROUD OF YOU GIRLS!

Congratulations to all the winners of the Cebu Hustle 3x3 that happened last weekend! It truly was a showcase of Women’s Basketball.

Thank you so much for the organizers for bringing the tournament to Cebu! Cebuanas lets go!
