12 years ago, The Rafters made their debut in their very first tackle rugby tournament—and what a stage it was.

The Rugby Sevens National Games 2014.

What started as a group of players representing Cagayan de Oro City went on to bring home the Shield Division Cup, marking a historic moment for rugby in Northern Mindanao.

That victory ignited a passion for the sport and laid the foundation for grassroots rugby development in Cagayan de Oro City and across Region 10.

Twelve years later, we celebrate not just a trophy, but the countless players, coaches, volunteers, and supporters who helped grow the game from those humble beginnings.

A journey that started with one tournament continues to inspire the next generation of Rafters.
