How Batitang Pickleball Community began.
The Batitang Pickleball Community at the Batitang Sports Complex holds the title of being the very first pickleball court in Cabadbaran.
It all began through the initiative of one of Silverio Batitang's great-grandsons.
In the beginning, there was no proper court or standard net just a passion for playing and having fun. It started as a casual pastime, with simple games organized among neighbors. Over time, as more people got curious and joined in, the community grew steadily. Eventually, the makeshift setup was upgraded, the court was officially painted, and proper pickleball nets were purchased.
What started as a simple hobby aimed at bringing entertainment to everyone has blossomed into a thriving local sports movement.
Today, the Batitang Pickleball Community remains warm and inclusive: everyone who wants to play is welcome, and anyone eager to learn the sport will gladly be taught.

Wife of Atty. Silverio Jamboy Batitang, Concepcion Guingona-Batitang was recognized during today's Bonifacio day Celebration (2024) as one of Hijas de Revolucion.
This monument built in Cabadbaran City is already 95 years old, a very significant cultural heritage icon of our city that has stood the test of elements and time, being constructed during the adminsitration of Mayor Fabian D. Mora in 1929.
However, the personalities behind the construction of this monument that honors the Great Pleabian Andres Bonifacio have remained incognito in this present generation.
It is therefore incumbent upon us the living to honor them also although posthomously by mentioning their names, their families and most of all their roles in the furtherance of the ideals and spirit of patrtiotism. The Hijas are daughters of the Revolucion, their fathers as well as their husbands were either members or supporters of the Fuerza Revolucionaria of Cabadbaran under the command of Capitan Andres Atega y Azura.
They as daughters and wives adhere to the ideals of the armed struggle for liberty and finally independence from foreign rule so that to also honor their parents as well as their their husbands, they caused the construction of this monument through their own means.
One of the hijas is CONCEPCION GUINGONA BATITANG, the Hijas de Revolucion President in actuality is CONCEPCION JAMORA GUINGONA, daughter of Don Vicente Guingona and Dona Francisca Javellana Jamora. Concepcion became the wife of Atty. Silverio Jamboy Batitang, Agusan Province's first lawyer.
