The FSUU – Basic Education 17-Under Basketball Team officially kicked off its campaign in the Butuan City Coaches Developmental League, alongside participating schools: School of the Morning Star, Agusan National High School, Timber City Academy, and Angelicum Montessori School.

The league officially opened August 1, 2026, at the Fort Poyohon Covered Court, providing an avenue for young athletes to showcase their talent and passion for the sport.

FSUU – Basic Education opened its campaign with a hard-fought 79–75 victory over Angelicum Montessori School-B, under the guidance of Coach Ronald Gutierrez.

This activity aims to provide our student-athletes with valuable exposure, skill development, and competitive experience through the city's grassroots basketball program.

Congratulations to our URIAN cagers on a strong start, and we wish the team continued success throughout the league! 💙🏀
