Through the leadership of Mayor Angel “Gel” Alonte, the Biñan City Youth and Sports Development Office (City YASDO) takes part in the PSC–PHILSPADA Training the Trainer: Leading the Way for Para Sports, contributing its expertise alongside distinguished organizations and established sports institutions in the Philippines.

Representing City YASDO as Subject Matter Expert (SME) is Sir Almer Almazora, Officer-In-Charge of the Sports Development Division, who served as a speaker and shared valuable insights and best practices in sports development, particularly in promoting inclusive, accessible, and sustainable opportunities for Para athletes.

The participation of City YASDO highlights the City of Biñan’s continuing commitment to strengthening sports development and contributing to a more inclusive and athlete-centered sports landscape in the Philippines.

Laguna Inter-Town Basketball Tournament 2026
25-Under & 15-Under Team Biñan Athletes

The City Government of Biñan proudly expresses its full support to the 25-Under and 15-Under Team Biñan Basketball Athletes as they prepare to compete in the Laguna Inter-Town Basketball Tournament 2026.

Through the leadership of City Mayor Hon. Angelo "Gel" Alonte, City Vice Mayor Jonalina "Dada" Reyes, the athletes were warmly received during a Courtesy Call and Allowance Distribution, reaffirming the City's commitment to empowering and supporting its local sports talents.

This initiative was made possible through the City Youth and Sports Development Office, under the leadership of the Officer-in-Charge of the Sports Development Division, Mr. Almer Almazora, as part of the City's continuing efforts to promote sports excellence and provide meaningful support to Biñanense athletes.

Sa patuloy na suporta at inspiradong pamumuno ni City Mayor Hon. Angelo "Gel" Alonte, ang City Youth and Sports Development Office, sa pamamagitan ng Sports Development Division, ay aktibong lumahok sa seminar na "Coaching for Peak Performance: Applying Biomechanics and Sports Nutrition in Athlete Development" na ginanap sa De La Salle University – Laguna Campus.

Ang seminar ay nagbigay ng mahahalagang kaalaman sa larangan ng biomechanics, sports nutrition, at athlete development, na magsisilbing gabay sa patuloy na pagpapahusay ng mga programa at serbisyong pang-isports para sa ating mga atletang Biñanense.

Ang pakikilahok na ito ay sumasalamin sa patuloy na layunin ng Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Biñan na paigtingin ang kakayahan ng ating mga sports development personnel at coaches upang makapaghatid ng dekalidad na pagsasanay at suporta sa mga atletang nagdadala ng karangalan sa ating lungsod.

Taos-puso rin kaming nagpapasalamat sa De La Salle University – Laguna Campus, sa Evelyn D. Ang Institute of Biomedical Engineering & Health Technologies (EDA-IBEHT), at sa School of Innovation and Sustainability sa matagumpay na pag-organisa ng makabuluhang seminar na ito. Ang inyong dedikasyon sa pagsusulong ng kaalaman at inobasyon sa sports science ay tunay na nagbibigay inspirasyon sa mga institusyong nagsusulong ng sports development.

Lubos din ang aming pasasalamat sa mga resource speakers, Dr. Justin Fernandez, PhD, at Dr. Catherine G. Sengco, MD, sa pagbabahagi ng kanilang malawak na kaalaman, karanasan, at mga makabagong pananaw na tiyak na makatutulong sa patuloy na pag-unlad ng sports coaching at athlete performance.

Sama-sama nating itaguyod ang isang mas malakas, mas malusog, at mas matagumpay na Team Biñan!

With the unwavering support of City Mayor Hon. Angelo "Gel" Alonte and the steadfast commitment of the City Youth and Sports Development Office (City YASDO) to grassroots sports development, Team Biñan Volleyball Girls (Grades 8 & 9) continues its journey toward athletic excellence through another meaningful learning and competition opportunity.

The team will visit Adamson University for a Campus Tour, followed by a Friendly Volleyball Scrimmage, providing our young athletes with valuable exposure to a collegiate sports environment while enhancing their skills, teamwork, confidence, discipline, and sportsmanship.

At City YASDO, we believe that every training session, every match, and every learning experience brings our athletes one step closer to becoming future champions who will proudly represent the City of Biñan.
