Many people laugh and ask, “Why is this person coaching when they’re not even that good at pickleball?”

It’s disappointing to hear comments like these, especially when they come from someone who is not an exceptional coach either.

Some people simply want to share the knowledge and experience they have with beginners. At the same time, they are trying to earn an honest living while helping others learn and enjoy the sport.

Instead of belittling or mocking those who are willing to teach, let’s encourage and support them. Every coach starts somewhere, and every beginner deserves someone willing to guide them.

Skill is important, but it is not everything. In the end, character, humility, and a genuine desire to help others will always matter more than talent alone.
