10 September 2026 | Benchmarking Activity of OSCA Burgos, Ilocos Norte
Bringing much-needed sunshine after a continuous month of rain in Baguio City, a benchmarking visit was successfully conducted by 46 delegates from the Office of Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) of Burgos, Ilocos Norte headed by Federation President, Ms. Eliza B. Ullero, OSCA Head, Mr. Victorio A. Ramiro and SC focal person, Ms. Jilliene Fae C. Ignacio, who travelled to the city to observe and adapt best practices of senior citizens.
They kicked off their visit with a courtesy call to the office of the City Mayor represented by Ms. Yas, then proceeded to the senior citizens office in Salud Mitra. The activity was facilitated by Ms. Vivien Paguio and Ms. Hannah Castro at the conference hall. The discussion focused on operational strategies, policy implementations and community-driven initiatives designed for senior citizens.
The success of the activity was made possible through the hard work and dedicated behind-the-scenes support of the OSCA volunteers and Government Internship Program (GIP) interns.
Beyond gaining inspiration from Baguio's established programs, the OSCA Burgos representatives also shared distinct best practices implemented in Ilocos Norte.
