UNIT 2 Chess Standard Tournament – Following an intense display of strategic mastery, Antipolo NHS DASIG Chess Team has officially clinched 2-fold victory at the SDO ANTIPOLO CITY UNIT ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION MEET (UAAM) 2026
UNIT 2 Chess Standard Tournament.

Overcoming a competitive field of 18 players in the Secondary Girls where there is no shortage of strong female secondary wood-pushers such as Kaijeff Dela Cruz (San Isidro NHS), Leigh Anja Nepomuceno (BN2NHS), and our former aces Queen Sheylee Tolentino and Ma. Rialyne Mendoza who now represent Antipolo City SHS, our current board 1 and ace Princess Fatima L. Villamor, from 7-Mt. Fisher, secured the championship with a final score of 5.5/6, with her teammates Elliah A. Andes, from 8-Maalalahanin, and Aieshley Keith B. Macavinta, from 7-Mt. Vesuvius trails behind both with 2/6, ranking 10th and 12th place respectively. The decisive moment came in Round 5, with Villamor playing as White, a blunder by Black in an endgame tactic was eventually converted into a forced a Draw, against our former ace, and now the ace of Antipolo City SHS, Queen Sheylee Tolentino playing as Black.

Our Secondary Boys ace, John Raine D.C. Pablo managed to clinch a spot in the Division Meet, scoring 5/6 and getting the SILVER MEDAL despite the huge upset taken from the ace of Hillcrest school, Sumer Justine Oncita in Round 4. His teammates Xhyron James Natividad of 10-Malvar scored 3.5/6 taking the 9th rank, and Julio Albert III Biñas trailed behind scoring 2/6 ranking 17th out of 22 players.
