Ka-DAYO Sports Ignites Pickleball Fever in Leyte with Thrilling Beginners Women’s Doubles Showdown

ORMOC CITY, LEYTE — The pickleball courts of Ormoc City came alive on Wednesday night as seven determined women’s doubles pairs battled for supremacy in the Ka-DAYO Pickleball Beginners Tournament – Women’s Doubles, held September 2 at Pickle Gym Court 1.
From 6:00 PM until 11:00 PM, players representing different pickleball clubs from Ormoc City, Albuera, and Merida, Leyte showcased their skills, determination, teamwork, and competitive spirit in a tournament that delivered exciting rallies and memorable moments.
When the final games were played, Cheryl and Jacky emerged as the tournament champions, claiming the top prize after a strong run through the competition.

Cheryl and Jacky displayed impressive composure and teamwork throughout the tournament, proving that beginners can bring plenty of intensity and excitement to the pickleball court.
Ericka and Mae secured the 1st Runner-Up position after a commendable campaign, while Gene and Anna completed the podium with a hard-fought 2nd Runner-Up finish.

The tournament brought together seven women’s doubles teams from various pickleball communities across Ormoc City, Albuera, and Merida, creating an atmosphere of friendly competition and camaraderie.
