Inclusive GymBad - PNG

Six partners came together to commemorate International Safe Sport Day, united under the theme "Safeguarding should protect every child involved in sport" and the call to action: "Stand up. Speak out. Play your part."
The event featured a basic safeguarding session delivered by Netball PNG One Netball program, followed by five interactive activity stations lead by Inclusive GymBad - PNG, PNGFA - Just Play, AFL Papua New Guinea Pilai Lon senis, NRL in PNG - League Bilong Laif and Hook in4 Health PNG, where participants learned key Safe Sport messages through fun and engaging activities. Participants also took part in an interactive reflection session, with representatives from each station sharing what they had learned and their understanding of what Safe Sport means. Their feedback highlighted the importance of creating sporting environments where every child feels safe, respected, and protected.

We thank the staff from Australian High Commission Papua New Guinea and Team Up for joining us. These programs are supported by the Australian Government through the TU Program as we continue to promote safe and inclusive sport for every child.
