We're half way through this month now , Just a reminder to get your teams organise and start meeting up and plan your training in preparation for this coming Governors Fast Pitch tournament. For those players and teams outside of Madang who are interested in fielding a team, Let us know before 31st of this month. All are welcome. This is a tournament with a mindset to keep softball going and to encourage our other provinces as well to continue playing our favorite family sports. TEAM nominations and player registrations for the Madang Softball Association’s (MSA) Ramsey Pariwa Fast-Pitch Softball Tournament are now open, following the MSA special events committee’s announcement on Tuesday.

The Madang Softball Association, through the special events committee comprising chairperson Rosemary Tamai Kouse, director coordination John Kouse, and tournament director Kuvo Maradi, is hosting and conducting the fast-pitch tournament, scheduled for Sept 16-18 during PNG’s 51st Independence Anniversary celebrations.

​SUBJECT: REGISTRATION OPEN FOR THE GOVERNOR RAMSEY PARIWA FASTPITCH – MADANG SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT
​The Madang Softball Association (MSA) through the special events committee is pleased to announce that official team nominations and player registrations are now open.
​MSA through the special events committee is officially hosting and conducting the Governor Ramsey Pariwa FastPitch – Madang Softball Tournament, coinciding with Papua New Guinea’s 51st Independence Anniversary celebrations. While organized primarily for MSA through the special events committee affiliates and local Madang teams, we are proudly extending an open invitation to outside provincial teams to join us in celebrating PNG's Independence through softball.
​TOURNAMENT DETAILS
​Dates: Wednesday, 16th September – Friday, 18th September 2026
​Host: Madang Softball Association through the special events committee
​REGISTRATION & FEES
​Team Nomination (With Umpire): K250.00
​Team Nomination (Without Umpire): K350.00
​Player Fee: K10.00 per player
​Roster Size: Minimum 18 players / Maximum 26 players per team
​IMPORTANT DEADLINE: All affiliation and player registration payments must be completed by Monday, 31st August 2026 at 12:00 PM (Noon).
​PAYMENT GUIDELINES
​Payment Mode: Cash payments only.
​Payment Collection: All payments must be made strictly to Tournament Director Kuvo Maradi.
