The Lae Snax Tigers Rugby Team, has received a massive K220,000 sponsorship boost, along with a donation of rugby balls, from the Harmony Hidden Valley Mine.

During the presentation held on Friday, July 3rd, at Lae Secondary School, Harmony Hidden Valley General Manager Steven Rooney presented the cheque and rugby balls to the team. Mr. Rooney also generously donated 60 rugby balls to the Lae Secondary School boys' rugby team.

He acknowledged the Snax Tigers for their outstanding commitment and hard work, emphasizing that the sponsorship is designed to benefit everyone, including the rugby league, the city of Lae, and the wider Morobe community.

He also thanked the club for its dedication to developing rugby programs in local schools.Receiving the cheque on behalf of the Snax Tigers, Franchise Manager Luke Kolalio thanked Harmony Hidden Valley Mine and the staff members who gathered to witness the presentation. He also thanked the Lae Biscuit Company for its continuous support over the years. He added that with this major financial backing, the team is fully focused on winning the 2026 season and looks forward to working closely with six school rugby teams in Lae.

To make sure all the amazing participants stayed energized, our team was on the ground delivering delicious Lewa Chocolate and Coconut cookies, perfectly paired with Pawa Energy Drink to power everyone through the walk! 🍪⚡️
