PSNA BUILDS CAPACITY IN SPORTS ADMINISTRATION & COACHING šŸ

The Public Servants Netball Association successfully held an OSEP Workshop on Sports Administration and Coaching for our members this weekend from 3 to 4 July 2026, Sir John Guise Stadium, 4th floor in Port Moresby.

Our public servants showed up ready to learn — balancing service to the country during the week, and service to their teams in preparation for the next season in October 2026 and the Pan Pacific Masters Games in November 2026.

The workshop focused on:
āœ… Better team management and governance
āœ… Safer, smarter coaching for all levels
āœ… Strengthening our growing Mixed Division

To the men in PSNA: Thank you for stepping up in coaching, administration and on court. You are helping shape the future of our game.

The PSNA Executives would like to thank the following Clubs for attending this course;

1. Department of Forestry Authority
2. Department of Education
3. Department of Transport
4. National Broadcasting Corporation
5. Department of Justice & Attorney General

Attention All Club Presidents and Executives,

The OSEP course is compulsory for all financial members.

Please nominate 2 representatives who have potential to be executives and coaches in your club to attend this course.

This is part of the PSNA Executives goals to build capacity in our Association. Through this training, as a Sports Administrator you will be able to formulate a draw, manage a team, secure sponsors and run an event. As for coaches you will learn how to formulate a game based training session plan, how to be a good coach and how to take care of your athletes.

I am encouraging all mixed teams to nominate your male players to attend as well to promote gender equality.

To the Team Managers and Coaches of the Pan Pac Teams, if you have not attended this course it is a requirement that you do. @⁨Puns⁩ as the Pan Pac Games Coordinator I am tasking you to confirm everyone on your management team that has not taken this course to attend. Please submit their forms by tomorrow to Madam Secretary Evelyn Mimininja.

@⁨Augerea Gigimat⁩ as the Umpire Convenor I am delegating this responsibility to confirm names of umpires who coach and manage our teams to attend as well. Please ensure their forms are filled in and submitted by tomorrow to Madam Secretary Evelyn Mimininja.

Executives we need to take lead by registering our own players and the rest will follow. I have Executives representing DJAG, DFA, Forestry, BPNG, NFA, PNGSF, Labour, IRC, Censorship, IOPP, Works, NBC and ComDev. Please my good Executives, kindly confirm two names from your clubs and submit by tomorrow to Madam Secretary Evelyn Mimininja.

I will be taking note of those Clubs who do not attend.

The course is scheduled from 3 to 5 July 2026 at the Sir John Guise Stadium, 4th floor. A program and registration will be circulated by Madam Secretary upon your confirmation.

Let's support each other and grow this Association to be bigger and better next season.

Sincerely,

Mary Nauga
President
