We participated in the reception of 225,000 doses of dengue vaccines destined for the National Center for the Supply of Strategic Health Resources (CENARES), as part of an initiative aimed at strengthening prevention and protecting public health in the country.

The Minister of Health, Luis Williams Dyer Fernández, and the Director General of CENARES, Javier Iván Henostroza Cáceres, supervised the vaccine reception and storage processes, accompanied by SAASA representatives, who presented the logistics capabilities implemented to preserve the required cold chain conditions.

SAASA Welcomes the First Aerolíneas Argentinas Cargo Flight in Madrid

At SAASA, we welcomed the first Aerolíneas Argentinas Airbus A330-200 cargo flight at Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport, arriving from Buenos Aires.

This new operation marks an important step in strengthening logistics connectivity between Latin America and Europe, facilitating the entry of Argentine products into the European market and contributing to the growth of international trade.

Our expertise in handling perishable cargo, including meat, fish, flowers, fruits, and other products, enables us to provide specialized processes and infrastructure designed to preserve cargo quality and temperature, ensuring the integrity of the cold chain throughout the entire operation. In addition, we directly manage import sanitary and phytosanitary inspections through our Border Control Post (BCP), authorized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.

Specialized logistics with controlled cold chain in support of public health

At SAASA, we successfully handled the arrival and receipt of two pallets of RSV vaccines intended for maternal immunization, arriving on KLM flight KL743.

The operation at the Aircraft Parking Stand (APS), as well as the safe transfer of the cargo to our facilities, was carried out in coordination with KLM, using our specialized equipment and operational capabilities to ensure efficient, safe, and seamless handling of the shipment.

The cargo was immediately transferred to SAASA’s temperature-controlled storage facilities, designed to safeguard pharmaceutical products under strict cold chain conditions, ensuring continuous temperature control and product integrity and compliance with the highest standards for sensitive healthcare shipments.

This operation reinforces our capabilities in handling highly sensitive pharmaceutical cargo, strengthening coordination with KLM and relevant authorities, and consolidating our commitment to safety, operational efficiency, and a reliable logistics chain in support of public health.
