—- MEET THE TEAM——
Coach Stu will be leading the team once again, ably supported by the following:
* Lorgez - ASCA certified Level 3 coach, with 8 x years of experience in learn to swim, stroke development and coaching.
* Adam - a level 2 Swim England qualified teacher, who has been involved in competitive swimming for 15 years. He has represented Team GB and medalled at the Euro Junior Champs.
* Nassib - level 2 coach & teacher, who is currently the fastest 100m freestyle swimmer in Oman. Nassib will be volunteering this term with our younger squads.
* Ali - a very experienced competitive swimmer (in our Marlins National squad), who will be volunteering this term with our Fundamental Squads.

We’ve had Summer success at the Algerian National Age Group Longcourse Championships!
Both Sayma and Mary came away with 8 x medals between them!
Sayma won 🥇 in the 50 fly, 100 fly and 50 breast, as well as winning a further two silvers and a bronze.
Mary won three relay medals and was only narrowly pipped into 4th in couple of her individual events.
Fantastic swimming ladies!

What a fantastic last meet of the season!💪🏼
Thank you to everyone who supported yesterday’s Summer Scorcher race Night! It was great to see so many pbs (despite the sweltering heat!).
A special mention to the following new records too:
*Deano, Henry, Nassib, Nitishsai - A Men’s Open 4 x 50m Medley relay record (which had stood since 2019!)
*Carissa, Sayma, Avighna, Mary - A Women’s Open 4 x 50m Medley relay record (which had stood since 2019!)
*Nassib, Henry, Coach Stu, Nitishsai - A Men’s Open 4 x 50m Freestyle record (averaging 23.5 secs per 50!)
*Nassib: A Syrian Men’s NATIONAL RECORD in the 50m freestyle (23.28)

The 79th 🇮🇳 Senior National Aquatic Championship’s (The Indian Commonwealth Trials) are taking place from 16-21 June in Ahmedabad, India. Nitishsai will be there, racing alongside India’s fastest swimmers!

A fantastic competition at the Summer Champs. Masses of pbs and lots of medals too! A brilliant end of season meet!
New club records for:
Tom Dean - 15-16yrs 100m backstroke (56.26)
Kristofers Kagis - Age 9-10 yrs 100m backstroke, 100m freestyle, and 50m butterfly!
Nitishsai just missed his pb in the 50m freestyle but his time at ABA of 23.10 ranks him 5th in GB for his age too!

We had a brilliant ‘End of Year’ celebration evening at the last week.
Thank you so much to everyone who supported the event and who has helped make this season (thus far…!) so fantastic! We have so much to be proud of!

In the few years that she has been with us, Hannah has gone from someone not comfortable in the water to, just yesterday, completing the annual 4km Fahal swim.
A truly inspiring story, especially for anyone thinking of giving swimming a go! 🏊♀️
