Well the cold blast seems to of passed with warm sunny days this weekend. Plenty of deer out and about as usual and young Jason did the damage with three fallow for the freezer.

Dads teaching sons the same lessons we have for millennia. From the art of the hunt to the care of the carcass , humans have handed this knowledge down from generation to generation. Quick little trip into some epic north island high country with the legends from RTB Heli Ltd , its a shame the weather didnt cooperate but that didnt stop us having fun looking for wiley reds in some atrocious conditions. The funds raised from this trip will help send the lads from Cullinane College U15s rugby to the upcoming Hurricanes school training camp so thats a great outcome for all involved!

Cold but sunny conditions made for another awesome father and son hunt at muddy waters this weekend. 55g noslers delivered via a 22-250 did the damage stacking up six fat winter deer.

A rare opportunity arose for a quick getaway with the family to celebrate turning 39. A couple of well conditioned fallow found themselves in the crosshairs with two good shots ensuring our veni supply is well stocked.

A bit crisp and crunchy underfoot this morning with the mercury dripping below zero. Once the sun popped out so did the deer though with three nice fatties taking a ride to the meat safe.
