What is this ‘Gathering’, you might have been hearing about.
To sum it up, it is a boutique BJJ competition, that stands as Australia’s Original BJJ Championships.
It began back in the 90’s, before BJJ was a ‘thing’. At that time, I was the only Black Belt in the ‘antipodes’ - and our small ‘grass roots’ group served as the well-spring for Jiu Jitsu in Australasia. In those days, Blue Belt matches were the highlight of the competition! How far we’ve come!
