MakeRoom's July School Holiday STEM Workshops are now live!
This school holidays weβre running three awesome one-day builds around Wellington:
1) The Voice Changer
Build a handheld voice recorder, save sound files, then twist and transform them with fun effects - plus you can control it from any computer!
2) The Mega Alarm
Design and build a portable multi function personal alarm system with multiple sensors, lights, sound, and plenty of hands-on electronics.
3) Ancient Runes Puzzle Box
Create a mysterious puzzle box that needs code-breaking, electronics, and a bit of ancient magic to unlock. Only you know the code to release what is stored inside.
Our holiday programmes are open to young makers aged 10β15, run from 9amβ3.30pm, and everyone takes home the project they build.
* Locations include Miramar, Crofton Downs, and Lower Hutt
* $140 for the day
* Only 8 kids per instructor
Spots are limited, and some sessions are already filling up.

Come build your own Fibre Optic Lamp!
After our Raumati Pop Up STEM Workshop, weβre heading over to Masterton for the next stop in our growing series of regional MakeRoom workshops.
This awesome project harnesses the power of Fibre Optic cable to create an amazing array of light effects. Slightly different from the cable you'd have bringing internet to your house this variant has 'side glow' so not all the light from the multicolour LEDs in the base is bounced down to the end of each length. Pressing the onboard button cycles through the 12 different effects as well as turning the unit on and off. There is also a dial that controls overall brightness - because in a dark room this thing is quite bright!

WHEN: Sunday 21st June, 9amβ3.30pm
