Tuesday group had a blast this afternoon working through some scary obstacles!
The ponies were all super brave and our students showed great horsemanship skills. We love a good obstacle course, amazing for both horse and handlers confidence, plus works on timing, precision and teamwork.

SPRING LITTLERIVER AUCTION CAMP
9am September 30th – 5pm October 2nd | $400
This camp only has TWO more school horse spaces!
Over the 3 days, riders will take on a variety of challenges (like a timed obstacle course or a game of Pictionary), earning 'camp cash' along the way, which they'll need for camp auction on the last day!
(Shhh... Don't tell anyone but last year we auctioned off cool things like saddle pads, snacks and vouchers!)
We have been running camps here at Littleriver for 10 years, giving riders an unforgettable experience where they can develop their riding, learn new horsemanship skills, make new friends and have a ton of fun in a positive environment.
Riders need to be capable of independent walk and trot minimum. Our camps are tailored to our attendees. Whether that's a rider who's just started cantering or a rider competitively jumping 80cm courses.
Ages 8+
Staying over night is not mandatory if you would rather go home for the nights.
We have an awesome team of school ponies we use for camp or you can bring your own horse/pony.

A chance for riders to step into the arena, set new goals, and experience the feel of a competition in a supportive, low-pressure environment.
Perfect for building confidence, practicing riding a dressage test, and celebrating progress, whether it’s your first test or you’re refining the details.

When students start their riding journey with us, they always have on the ground help.
Their job isn't just to help the rider learn and be safe, it's also to help guide and support the pony, so the pony has someone to rely on until the rider knows how to communicate clearly on their own.
Asking a pony to be guided by someone who doesn't yet understand how to communicate clearly through their aids isn't fair on them. Mixed or unclear signals create frustration for the horse and the rider and that's not something we think needs to happen in the learning process.
As balance, feel and understanding grow, the on the ground help steps back and independence follows naturally.
We find riders feel more confident and capable when they find that independence, knowing that they have all the skills they need to communicate kindly and clearly.

Like most education systems, we follow a clear curriculum, custom made to suit our LR riders and help them on their journey.
You'll find our levels on the barn wall, covering everything from knowing how to halt in level one to leg yields in level five.
A solid curriculum means all our riders get a solid foundation, all our coaches teach the same steps and riders know exactly what they're working towards.

LITTLERIVER MOVIE NIGHT

$5 entry - open to all current clients. A great opportunity to get together, spend time with horsey friends and get to know other riders!

The best way to end a school day. Out exploring, ba****ck and doubles with the buddy group!
Shine, Lily and Winter love going out for adventures and all the riders had tons of fun, I think they counted seeing 27 little lambs!! 😍
