This summer, Cricket Wellington proudly celebrates 150 Years of Cricket in the Capital.
Since its establishment in 1875, Cricket Wellington has grown alongside our communities and the game itself. For 150 years, generations of clubs, players, volunteers, officials, administrators, members and supporters have helped shape our game and our community. Throughout the 2026/27 season we'll celebrate that legacy with special events, commemorative initiatives and a Summer of Cricket to remember.
The centrepiece of our celebrations will be the Cricket Wellington 150th Anniversary Banquet, proudly hosted by the Hon Chris Bishop at Parliament on 17 November 2026.
This is just the beginning. Read more about our 150th Anniversary celebrations, what's in store throughout the summer, and the exciting initiatives still to be revealed. We'll also be sharing further details over the coming week, including how to purchase tickets to our 150th Anniversary Banquet.
