A rhythm of reflection helps us to honour the past and supports us to move forward with intention.
On the last day of each month, I send out a newsletter where I share my learnings, recommendations, and questions to spark your own personal reflections.
If you’re looking for a simple way to pause and reflect, these questions are a great place to start.

We all experience seasons when we’re not quite sure where we’re going or what comes next.
When you’re feeling a little lost, you don’t always need to figure everything out.
Sometimes, you need to pause and notice what has helped you in the past.
Take a few minutes right where you are and ask yourself:
When have I felt grounded before? - What was happening, who was around me, and how did I feel?
What helped me feel steady? - Is there something I could bring into my life now?
What do I need more of right now? And what might I need a little less of?
Who could I reach out to? - Who helps me feel supported, understood or more like myself?
You don’t need to answer them all. Start with the question that catches your attention.
Pause. Notice. Take one small step.
You don’t have to know the whole way forward to take the next step.

Hi, I’m Kelly—a personal development coach for women.
Here are three ways you can work with me:
1. One-on-one coaching
I offer tailored coaching for women designed to create real, lasting change. You can work with me in person in Wellington or via Zoom. Choose from a one-off session—perfect for clarity, insight, and actionable steps—or a six-session package for deeper self-understanding and meaningful change.
2. Workshops
I facilitate workshops for organisations and groups, exploring values, strengths, confidence, and how to turn big dreams into small, achievable steps. I also design bespoke workshops to suit your organisation’s needs, and I available to travel across New Zealand.
3. YES-Lab
Through my online programme, YES-Lab, I offer a gentle, supportive space for women who want to practise saying yes to what they desire. We meet monthly, with a focus on small steps, connection, structure, and momentum.

In the business of life, our days can easily blur together into one long, endless to-do list.
If you’re naturally future-focused, like me, you might find your mind racing toward the next task before you’ve even finished the current one.
But when we live in fast-forward, we lose perspective. We rob ourselves not only of celebrating progress but also of savouring experiences and connecting with others. We miss out on our actual lives as they are happening.
This is where pausing and zooming out can be a game-changer.
Before you rush to your next task, ask yourself:
What is one thing I’ve achieved or navigated recently that I haven’t stopped to acknowledge?
What is going well that I haven’t paused to appreciate because I’m already looking ahead?
What is one small step I can take to create more space and perspective today?
Reflection isn’t about dwelling in the past or adding more to your to-do list. It’s about intentionally paying attention to your life.
The more space we make to reflect, the more we’re able to see a much bigger life than our to-do list.

Just because it feels slow doesn't mean good things aren't growing.
Sometimes the things we're working towards move so slowly we can barely see them moving at all.
We keep showing up. Doing the work. Waiting. Wondering.
And when progress isn't obvious, doubt gets loud.
Is this worth it?
Is it supposed to be this hard?
Maybe this just isn't for me...
The problem is that growth rarely feels dramatic while we're living it. More often, it's happening quietly—in small, ordinary moments that don't seem significant on their own.
Research shows that making progress, even in small ways, boosts motivation. Every time we complete a task or reach a milestone, our brain releases dopamine, reinforcing the desire to keep going.
So if your goal feels overwhelming, don't make your determination bigger. Make your next step smaller.

A genuinely small step should feel almost too easy.
Often the most important progress happens so slowly that you don't recognise it until you look back and realise how far you've come.
What's your next small step?

How many things have you put off because you don't feel ready?
Maybe you've been waiting until you have more confidence, more time, more clarity, or a better plan.
Perfectionism has a sneaky way of convincing us that we need to be fully prepared before we take the first step.
But confidence grows when we take action, not when we wait.
YES-Lab is all about becoming curious, trying small experiments, learning as you go, and discovering what happens when you stop waiting for the 'perfect' time.
You don't need certainty to begin.
You just need a willingness to say yes to one small next step.
YES-Lab begins Tuesday, 21 July.
