Calling all emerging netballers 📣

Tawa Recreation Centre is introducing a NEW Netball Clinic, designed for children ages 10-13.

With focus on different core netball skills each session, players will build confidence, refine their technique, and develop a stronger understanding of the game.

📆 Wednesdays, 12 August-23 September
📍 4pm-5pm at Tawa Rec Centre (located at Tawa College)
🪙 $58.20 for 6 weeks, or $13.30 for a casual drop-in session

Relay Day at Nairnville 🥚🥄

There was some eggcellent teamwork on display today, everyone working together to be the fastest at our egg-on-spoon and dodgeball/inflatable races!

These Kilbirnie Rec tamariki were quick on their feet today, diving, ducking, sliding, and climbing their way over and under obstacles 🏃‍♀️‍➡️🏃‍➡️

Mānawatia a Matariki ✨

Yesterday, all of our Recreation Centres celebrated Matariki through games, activities, and crafts!

Pictured are some of the Kilbirnie Rec Holiday Program tamariki having a go at some traditional Māori games such as Kī o Rahi and Ti Uru.

Tawa, Nairnville, Karori, and Kilbirnie Recreation Centres will be closed this Friday 10 July due to Matariki.

We hope you all have a restful long weekend.

School holidays have rolled back around, so this means a few changes to our regular programmes.

Whilst our holiday programmes are running from 6-17 July, here's what's going on at each facility:

Nairnville Recreation Centre
👶 No weekday preschool sessions
💪 No Ezymovers
🏓 No Table Tennis
🎾 No Friday Pickleball

Kilbirnie Recreation Centre
🐤 No Early Birds, TinyTown open from 1pm
🎾 Monday & Wednesday pickleball sessions will run as normal
🛼 Evening Skate fit classes will run (no midday sessions)

Karori Recreation Centre
👶 No preschool programmes will be on
🎾 Thursday & Sunday Pickleball will run as normal

Tawa Recreation Centre
🏀 No weekday programmes & leagues
🎾 Sunday pickleball will be on
👶 Sunday Gym Jam will be on
