Five years of KKA in the Hutt Valley!!

Who would have thought when Becca and I met as Yellow Belts in 2017 that several years later we would be instructors at our own dojo.

Thankyou to Sensei Allan for having faith in us to run this dojo under his KKA brand, and to Senseis Scott, Linda, and Stuart (WRKA) for igniting the spark.

Also massive love to Sensei Denni and Sensei Brad for all the support on the instructor team. Here’s to many more years of training, friendship, and FUN! Osu! 🥋

KKA Hutt Valley are training in the local Scout Hall this week as the school driveway is out of action. A good opportunity for some overhead action shots from the balcony!

Also a great ceiling height for some weapon training. :)

A road trip to Kapiti last night as the dojo driveway was inaccessible in LH. A great training with a very large class, Osu!

Certificates abound tonight!

We presented our first kobudo grades to some of our Hutt students. Osu!

Also big congratulations to Paul who graded to green belt tonight. Last week we gave him some work-ons and he showed tonight that he has taken all the advice on board and smashed it!

All that hard work paid off last night for a bunch of us last night. Well done to our newest batch of upgraded karateka!

Pleased to report all our kobudoka at today’s grading passed! Well done team - looking forward to more progress and training hard.

Cold and wet in the Hutt Valley last night but that didn’t stop our hardy karateka from showing up and putting in the work. Osu!!
