Back from another great weekend in the 'Naki at King of the Mountain BBQ Competition . Unfortunately we couldn't back up our 6th overall at Brewtown and our profiles didn't seem to hit with the New Plymouth judges with our best being 10th in chicken. We still had a great time with all our bbq friends and its good to get back into comps after the winter lay off.

Big congrats 👏 to Cook Cartel with their awesome GC and automatic entry to the Bbq World Final in Las Vegas. Also, well done to Rum and Que for their RGC and especially Matthew Melville for his constant entertainment and enthusiasm as one of our neighbors for the weekend. Big thanks to Smoke & Steel BBQ for being great neighbors again also.

Big thanks to Craig at Smokn Comrades for running this great event once again. Brilliant idea that come out of this comp was the buddy system that was run over the weekend. Another thanks to 2 Girls and a Grill for being our weekend buddies.

Well we're back into it trendsetters! After the winter hiatus, Devil's Cut are prepping up for the next comp at King of the Mountain BBQ Competition in New Plymouth. This year an entry is up for grabs to head to the World Cup of Bbq in Las Vegas next year for the winner takes all million dollar prize so all the best teams will be here. Get amongst it!!!

So, that's a wrap at Bogan Day Out at Brewtown Upper Hutt . Man, what great couple of days catching up with people and cooking up a storm. Bogan Day Out was awesome with plenty of punters through the gate and some great live bands. The team had a great day on the pits, picking up:

3rd Chicken
7th Ribs
10th Pork
6th Brisket

For 6th overall which we are stoked with. Congrats to Cook Cartel for their deserved GC, and Smokey Fish BBQ for RGC. Also congrats to Ryan and the boys at Smoke and Steel gor dipping your toes in at their first comp as well as being great neighbors. Thanks to everyone for fronting up to get the comp over the line, Mo at Hogwarts BBQ for the hard yards he put in getting teams involved, and Phil Gorman at Brewtown for running another great event. Bogan Day Out this weekend!! Needless to say, we're pretty amped to get back into the comp scene as it's been October since we last competed. Been busy for the team up until now with some catering for friends, a ton of work on the trailer along with some new toys. Even managed to pick up a couple of sponsors along the way.
