The Mahurangi Rugby Football Club has lost part of its fabric on Tuesday with the passing of club stalwart Mike Cooper (Club Life Member). A top man who would do anything to help and carried out serious amounts of volunteer work across many sporting codes over the decades and his passion was always getting kids in sport at Mahurangi College and the Mahurangi Rugby Club.
A coach & manager and genuine good bu**er who we will all deeply respected and will miss him dearly around the sports fields for a catch up and over a beer.
Our condolences to Howie, Dallas and all the extended Cooper whanau.
Rest easy Mike, you deserve it.
A service to celebrate Mike's life will be held at the Mahurangi Rugby Club on Monday 17th August at 2:30pm.
