Our annual Club Awards are an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the players, coaches, umpires, officials, volunteers and club members who have made a positive contribution to Tysons Netball Club throughout the 2026 season.

A reminder that 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗿𝘆. Whether you have one person you'd like to recognise or several, you can complete as many or as few categories as you'd like.

It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Barb Reid.

Barb was a valued member of the Tysons whānau during the years her daughters, Tessa and Verica, represented our club. She was also a dedicated member of the wider netball community through her work with Netball Taranaki, where her commitment and service made a lasting difference.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Tessa, Verica, the Reid whānau, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing Barb. Thank you, Barb, for your kindness, dedication, and the legacy you leave behind.

🏆💙 PREMIER 1 CHAMPIONS! 💙🏆

Our ANZCO Tysons Ngā Manu Toa have been crowned Premier 1 Champions, defeating New Plymouth Old Boys The Good Home 56–53 in a thrilling Grand Final.

What a way to finish an incredible season.

This team has shown unwavering commitment and belief from the first whistle of the season to the very last. Time and again they have demonstrated what can be achieved through hard work, trust in one another, and immense pride in representing our club.

To our management team and everyone who has supported this team throughout the season—we see you, we thank you, and we celebrate this championship with you. Behind every successful team is a group of people who give their time, energy, and unwavering support, often without recognition.

A special acknowledgement must go to Coach Jane Parker-Bishop. Year after year, Jane pours her heart into this team, leading with passion, knowledge, and an unwavering belief in her players. The culture of excellence, resilience, and pride that this team embodies is a reflection of her dedication and leadership. Thank you, Jane, for the countless hours, the sacrifices, and the care you invest in your players and our club. This championship is a well-deserved reward for everything you give.

Credit must also go to New Plymouth Old Boys The Good Home for an outstanding Grand Final. It was an intense, high-quality contest that showcased the very best of Premier netball. Thank you for a game played with skill, determination, and respect—it was a fantastic spectacle for everyone watching.

To our ANZCO Tysons Ngā Manu Toa—thank you for inspiring our club and our next generation of players. Enjoy every moment of this achievement. You have truly earned it.

This Saturday, 25 July, our ANZCO Tysons Ngā Manu Toa take to the court one final time this season as they battle New Plymouth Old Boys The Good Home in the Premier 1 Grand Final.

We are immensely proud of this group of athletes. Their hard work, commitment and determination have been evident every step of the way, and their continued success year after year is a testament to the culture, passion and mana they bring every time they wear the Tysons uniform.

Regardless of the result on Saturday, you have already achieved something special. You have inspired our younger players, represented our club with pride, and shown what it means to play for each other.

To our ANZCO Tysons Ngā Manu Toa — your entire Tysons whānau is behind you. We are so proud of everything you have accomplished and can't wait to stand beside you one last time this season.

While many of us are gearing up for our own finals this weekend, one of our Tysons committee members is preparing for something pretty special on the other side of the world.

Jaqua Pori Makea Simpson is already in Glasgow, Scotland, where she'll lead the Tonga Tala as Head Coach at the 2026 Commonwealth Games.

To be leading a team on the international stage is an incredible achievement, and we're so proud to have Jaqua as part of our Tysons whānau.

We'll be following along from home, celebrating every step of the journey, and sending all our love and support to Jaqua and the Tonga Tala.

🇳🇿📣 A big mihi to one of the originals of the Tysons men's programme, Quincy Julian, as he prepares to represent Aotearoa in the New Zealand U20 Men's Team against Australia!

From Day One, Quincy has been part of our men's journey. Three Men's Nationals campaigns, countless kilometres travelled from South Taranaki, and unwavering commitment every time he's pulled on the Tysons colours.

Now that commitment has been rewarded with his first black singlet! 🙌🏾

There aren't many more deserving. Watching one of our originals earn this spot is something pretty special, and we know you'll represent New Zealand with the same pride and humility you've always shown in blue.

The Tysons whānau wish Quincy and the New Zealand U20 Men's Team all the very best this weekend. We'll be cheering you on every step of the way.

🇳🇿🌿 A huge congratulations to Lakein Woods as he heads into his New Zealand U17 Men’s campaign, representing Aotearoa against Australia!

We were proud to have Lakein wear the Tysons colours during his second Men’s Nationals campaign with us, and we couldn’t be prouder to see him now pull on the black singlet.

This is an incredible achievement and a reflection of the dedication he has to the code. 🫡

The Tysons whānau wish Lakein and the New Zealand U17 Men’s Team all the very best as they take on Australia. Enjoy every moment knowing we’re cheering you on from home.
